  Something weird is going on with this company. They did an inspection and cleaning before for me and they seemed really great at the time. I’ve been trying to reach out to them over the last few months but there’s no response. I’ve left messages, no return calls. It’s almost like they went out of business, but there’s no indication of that online? Odd.

  Do Not Use Bethesda Chimney – They Took My Money and Ghosted Me I have never written a negative review for any company in my life, but after what happened with Bethesda Chimney, I feel I have to warn others so they don’t get ripped off like I did. I called to schedule a simple chimney inspection. They told me I had to Zelle $299 as a deposit just to book the appointment. Against my better judgment, I sent the money directly to the owner, Bryan. They scheduled the appointment for Wednesday afternoon. I waited at home all day — no one showed up and I never received a single call or text. When I called Bryan, he apologized and rescheduled for noon on Friday. Again, no show and no call. I called him a second time. He then said they could come at 8pm Friday night. I told him that wouldn’t work because I had plans starting at 6pm and asked to just cancel the appointment. He immediately said I would lose the $299 deposit. After I pushed back on how ridiculous that was for a service they never provided (or even attempted), he finally agreed to refund it. That was months ago. Despite multiple follow-up calls, Bryan has still not returned my $299. The money is simply gone. This company used to be excellent. I previously had them rebuild two chimneys with zero issues — they were professional and did great work. When I asked Bryan what happened, he admitted they have “a lot of new people now.” **Bottom line:** Do NOT send any deposit to Bethesda Chimney, especially not via Zelle. They may show up for bigger jobs, but for scheduling even a basic inspection, it appears they have no problem taking your money and disappearing. Consider this your warning.

  Do not use Bethesda Chimney. They demanded $450 payment upfront and then ghosted me. No response to texts or VMs. Completely unresponsive. Use any other chimney firm but Bethesda Chimney.

  Do not hire these people! They are scam. They took our money and never showed up. We called and rescheduled several times and each time they did not arrive. When we asked for a refund, they said the check was in the mail and stopped answering our calls.
