Service tech called to ask if he could come early. He was professional and provided a helpful explanation of the status of our HVAC unit. Scheduling was easy, staff was efficient, and we received text reminder.

Arctic Air installed a new hvac at our condominium for a neighbor. I’m sure it is a high quality hvac and the services were like recentered timely and as expected. However the owner loves out of state and artic air installed a commercial stand that is used in flood zone commercial property applications. Not only is the HVAC the only unit sitting 5 feet off the ground in a residential application, it’s a football field above water level and in area that is not prone tj flooding. Added to that eye sore, the new high efficiency HVACs are Twice the size of the old old units from 1990 so now the new hvac sits 8-9 feet in the air with the ridiculous stand the installer used. (In a none flood area) even during hurricane Sandy the park lot nor condominium building was never breached. But they charged this out of state customer all that costs for things they never needed. The kicker is - they placed the unit directly in front of another condo units window. Blocking view and causing extremely loud noise / fan annoyances. This in turn is costing the original customer more money to have to have the company back out to remove the atrocity and unsightly stand and replace it with a stand that will keep the top of HVAC below the neighbors window sill. (The window sill bottom is five feet from the ground. Arctic Air installed the hvac above this level. See photos. Please be very wary of what this company is charging and if it’s necessary. The customer was out of state and bass on referrals of high quality products they believed they were only being recommended and changed for the things they needed and were required. The installer and sales person stated to the customer that everything is “within code”. He was not lying. But he was being deceitful because it’s within code at a commercial location next to water. In residential area that is not prone to any flooding - he up charged the customer for things that weren’t necessary, caused the HOA to file formal complaints and fines and reared a bad situation for the customer. The photos will speak volumes. First photo is the view / blocked view from the neighbors a window - shot straight out the window. It’s slightly zoomed OUT to show the other hvacs in the same row. The actual view from the window is blocked more than this photo indicated. The second photo is from a standing position, in first parking space looking directly at the building. It’s blocking numbers for condo units on the wall as well completely blocking the window. The third photo is walking 15 steps to the right and taking the same photo from the same height. You are able to slightly see the window from this angel but barely. Arctic air has not responded to the HOA to cure the issue.

We were having issues with our thermostat and Arctic sent techs out the same day to take a look. Shawn and Luke were professional and efficient in diagnosing the issue. They had a new thermostat installed quickly, showed me how to use it, and gave me tips to keep the HVAC unit running smoothly. I highly recommend this company.

I thought I had an issue with heater not warm enough. Technician came in and did a thorough inspection of the system. The system was working properly but she did find a problem that would potentially would have been an issue later as the temperature gotten colder. The system is under warranty so the part was in stock and will be put in the next day. My technician was friendly and professional. Good job.
