Pros: They seem to be competent plumbers and they did a good job installing my tankless water heater. Cons: Several months ago, when I was having my new tankless heater installed, Ian from Howard Plumbing quoted $600 to remove my old tank water heater. At that time, I opted not to remove it, but instead leave it abandoned in place. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I was again interested in taking the old heater out. Ian quoted me $850 for the same task of removing the old water heater. He justified the price increase by saying that the previous quote of $600 was in the scope of the greater piece of work (new water heater being installed at the same time). I then proceeded to get a quote from a local water treatment company for $400.
