I was offered an at-home visit to check-out and verify my newly found vermiculite/asbestos issue. After signing a remediation contract with him, the job was scheduled in under 3 days. On the day of removal, the owner, Scott McKenna, was on–site to assist his very professional and efficient crew. As equipment was being setup, attention to my hardwood floors were in the process of being covered, without my intervention. Scott did a wonderful job interacting with his crew as well as keeping me informed of what was happening, ensuring a thorough cleanup, and always explaining the importance of safety his company stressed to his crew. The crew of 5 meticulously vacuumed the vermiculite in the attic section, on their knees, with low clearance, for about 4 hours. They considered safety precautions, wore specialized clothing and masks, and worked as a Team. Pictures taken at the end showed attic flooring that looked brand new. When the crew completed removing their equipment, and as part of the contract, an outside company called FLI Environmental arrived to perform an Air Quality test. Those results were impressively scored stating the remediation was thorough. As a homeowner, you don’t often find a vendor that you trust to do a great job, is thorough in explanation, arrives on time, completes what you signed up for, cleans up not only to your satisfaction, but theirs, and is personable, professional and genuinely happy to assist. Oh, don’t want to leave out Julie, a proficient Secretary getting emails and paperwork off to me within seconds of my request. I’d give this company a 100 + star rating.
