Was bamboozled from the beginning, told over the phone that there was a dispatch fee of $149 that would include a diagnostic, as soon as the plumbers showed up they “quickly” stated that they had a service fee of $400+ that would cover their time and service they’d have to perform. They have you sign off on that, diagnose the issue which is a quick google search- don’t fix anything and try to talk you into purchasing their equipment only to charge you the 400+ service fee. Nothing repaired, nothing replaced. Just 2 guys unscrewing the face plate of my water heater, getting on the phone with tech support, telling tech support they assume nothing is wrong with the gas pressure since there were other units in the house when asked if they tested the gas pressure (the error code was an ignition failure)- the other water heater is in a separate unit/apartment with a separate gas line. I ended up calling another plumber who came out and diagnosed a gas pressure issue, saved me $1000s on a new water heater, and got everything up and running the same day in less than 2 hours.

The company was quick to set up a time and told me I would hear from the repair people when they were on their way which I did. They were able to determine the issue fairly quickly, went back to their office to retrieve the proper repair part returned and made the repair. The service was outstanding, and I would recommend them for your generator needs.

We called GEM because we were having an extremely difficult time getting our heat to come on and stay on. Our home was very cold and uncomfortable. GEM sent out a technician to help alleviate our problem.
Xavier is the best technician we’ve ever had diagnose and repair our HVAC system. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the entire system. He was kind and patiently answered all of our many questions about the many issues that we’ve been having with our heating system.
Many others have been here but he was the first to correctly diagnose the issue and fix our problem! We are so very grateful for his excellent services.

I got a new boiler and it didn’t work the first weekend after I bought it and called on Monday for someone to come out and look at it, my hear started coming on that day while I was waiting for the technician to come out. I had to wait quite a while but that was understandable at this time of year when people are having hearing problems. And that was me the week before my furnace stoped working the day before the storm and this company was able to send someone out to see if they could help me on that Sunday of the big storm we had the week before. So that was a blessing to me! I want to give them 10 stars for that, no one else I called could do that! But on this next weekend because my old furnace died and it was only 10 years old so I had to get a new one. For some reason it stopped working for 2 days and I didn’t have heat for another freezing cold weekend, but like I mentioned above it started coming on while I was waiting and although he couldn’t figure out why that happened, he was very professional and his service to me was great. It hadn’t happened since and I lowered the heat when I went to work and in that frigid temperature we were having I may have lowered it too much and that might have been the problem, which we discussed when he came there to help me. And he told me to call back if it happened again. So I’m sure they stand behind their service and products. It was a relief to have them there to help me through that time. Even though they couldn’t fix my old furnace and get me relief from the cold that first weekend it was a blessing to have their support and they sent the team out by Tuesday because everything was shut down on the Monday because of the storm and by Tuesday afternoon my new furnace was in and that team of guys worked hard so I want to give them 10 stars too if I could and all 3x’s they had to come to my home everyone was professional and worked to get me the help I needed as soon as they could. It’s a great company as far as I can see, very supportive! Thanks GEM and all the telephone operators who even on the weekend are real people to talk to and that’s just great in this day of virtual help and especially that first weekend I needed a real person to speak with not a machine or virtual help and I got that and someone to come to my place and look at my furnace
