- SWSpencer WoturskiAug 26, 20211.0I had the unfortunate experience of renting from this company. I scheduled a pickup to return the rental, 24 hours in advance. United rentals no showed the pick up. No worries. I called back to try and schedule another pickup that worked with my schedule. My next availability was first thing in the a.m or weekends. I explained this to the guy on the phone who met me with belittling comments, and poor customer service. I explained how I scheduled a pickup and they didn't show, his response "well it's your responsibility to make the unit available" I responded with.. "I did make the unit available, it sat in the front office all day waiting for the pickup I scheduled" he responded "you can't just call and expect us to be there in 5 minutes" my response "sir I gave 24hrs notice and you guys didn't show so now I'm trying to make ammends but I can't just be available all day long. I can make mornings or weekends work" and he had the audacity to tell me they will continue to charge me if it's not returned. I threw that thing in my trunk and dropped it off personally this a.m and got my $180 pickup fee returned. Long story short, call HERC RENTALS first.
