  My serviceman was very professional. I had some questions which he was happy to answer. As this was routine maintenance I can’t speak to the quality of the work since it was a routine cleaning and maintenance. I’m confident he did a good job.

  Just met with Jerry to discuss two replacement central AC units for my house. Jerry was extremely knowledgeable. He knew his product. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained how is quote options will address my priorities. I learned a lot! Hopefully his quote will be competitive.

  Called for an annual oil burner cleaning. MacFarlane said they’d send the guy they sent the last few times. That guy would show up, tell me what was going to be done, explain what he did, then he’d leave. I liked it that way. The technician they sent this time, initially started taking pictures of my mini split system in the back yard. “We do mini split service”. He came into the basement and gave me a twenty minute presentation/lecture of oil tank construction, chimney sweeping and Mass Saves options. This was all unsolicited advice. He was chewing tobacco also. Decided to spit the tobacco juice on my patio while getting his tools. Our dogs found the spit and rolled in it. Then we had to hose them down.

  Wonderful service. Wayne was on time and explained the process as he went along. The HVAC was leaning away from the side of the house. I thought it would be a tricky proceed but Wayne was able to stabilize it with the equipment that was there. It was so interesting to watch how he figured things out. He is really good st his job and obviously has a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable . He was also very kind and gracious. I definitely plan to use your services again. A+! Thank you so much! Wish I had known about your service sooner!

  I recently had my annual maintenance service performed by Tom Coolberth, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. Tom did a fantastic job tuning my oil burner, bringing it up to an impressive 87% efficiency. It’s reassuring to know the system is running at such a high level heading into the next season. Beyond the technical work, Tom took the time to walk me through the different service contract options. He clearly explained how the various tiers work, which was incredibly eye-opening. Understanding that emergency service calls in the dead of winter can easily climb into the $400–$500 range, and that standard hourly rates can hit $250/hour, really helped me see the long-term value of having the right coverage in place. It’s rare to find a service engineer who is both technically skilled and willing to help the customer navigate the financial side of home maintenance. Highly recommend Tom and the MacFarlane Team!
