Your tech Ray Fisher was out to my house within an hour of my call. I told him my situation ( that I was basically out of oil) He checked my burner confirmed I was out of oil put an emergency 10 gallons in my tank and advised me to call the office to see if an oil delivery would be made to my as it was Saturday He did this in a kind professional manner that made me feel better after waking up in a house with no heat

We recently had George out to service our water heater, and once again, he exceeded expectations. Not only did he handle the initial issue, but he also took the extra time to identify and fix an overflow valve on our furnace that needed attention.
What I appreciate most about George is that he doesn't just aim for a 'quick fix.' He ensures our equipment is set up for years of reliable use. He has a great, calm manner and always takes the time to explain exactly what he’s doing and why. We wouldn't call anyone else.

I made the mistake of trusting a cash on delivery oil company and found myself in a freezing cold house for Christmas when the company did not show up-Brian at MacFarlane listened to my tail of woe and actually helped me out on December 26th when I am sure many people needed help.

MacFarlane Energy has the lowest priced oil top ups across three companies we researched as new home owners in the South Shore. They were quite aggressive in asking to leave a review when they came for their first tune up and installation of the gauge on our oil tank.
Now three months in, the areas of improvement include:
- New gauge installed had a tight rubber in the inner ring that after a top-up, the gauge remained at 1/4 level. Thankfully my father-in-law removed the cap and release the gauge marker, going to full-tank, avoiding an unnecessary service call. They should review their gauge installation process.
- Keying in payment mode: after the 2nd refuelling, they sent an email to say that payment to our card was declined. After I called to bank to understand the reason, it was because the MacFarlane staff did not key in the expiration date for our card while doing the charge. I had to call MacFarlane to clarify, resulting in unnecessary effort for us.
Update on 1/5/2026: the gauge is truly broken. On New Year’s Day, we ran out of oil despite being on auto-delivery. Thankfully I called and they came within 2 hours to top up the oil. I know they are on skeletal staff on 1/1, saying someone will call me the next day, but no one did. I had to call in again on 1/5 to schedule the replacement of the gauge.
