During this crazy snowstorm, MacFarlane's responsiveness and reliability while we were dealing with an issue deserves a shout out. Rob was very informative and responsive over the phone during the blizzard and today, Matt came to refill our 5-gallon tank, and when I was worried about the hot water lasting, he didn't just do the job and leave. He took the time to walk me through exactly how long the supply would last and what we could do to keep things going until we replaced the main tank. I can’t say enough good things about George! Extremely friendly, courteous, professional, and absolutely on the money timely. We were on the brink of running out of heating oil and when it was discovered that the service delivery was not made he himself came straight to our house to give us enough to get us by for the upcoming storm. This is the kind of service you hear about but never witness personally. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts George!

Ray was excellent.
He was professional knowledgeable and thorough, diagnosing, fixing and restarting our oil burner and staying on site to ensure the system was operating properly.
Five stars for him.
The company gets a star less because we returned from a trip to a 40 degree home with no operating heating system, but when we called both service numbers repeatedly we were me with two rings and a hang up.
We could not reach anyone to request service until 7 am the next day.
Ultimately not a critical situation but could have been had we returned a day later.

Her heat went off in the middle of the night. If the tank had been filled prior to delivery, please explain how it was out of oil overnight—on the same day she was scheduled to receive oil.
I am more than willing to walk through the full timeline, as I have been waiting for a callback since Saturday night and again Sunday morning. While I appreciate that the issue was addressed after the fact, the concern is the gap in service that left her without heat overnight. Temp dropping below freezing! I’m sure you generally provide good service—my mother and sister have used your company in the past—which is why this situation is especially disappointing. It’s okay to acknowledge that something was missed this time; accountability is what we’re looking for. If you can get someone on the phone the best solution would have been communication and calling to say delivery wouldn’t happen. I specifically myself called to say if delivery wouldn’t happen we wouldn’t move her.
