- CGCarey GumaerNov 18, 20252.0I've had multiple big jobs done by NextGen, and honestly they did a really great job installing and testing the equipment. I had an oil fired boiler replacement done by them in 2020, and had a heat pump installed in 2022. The actual technical work that was done was great. The removal of my old boiler and AC systems went smoothly, the new work was done well and communication was excellent. You might be wondering now why I am only giving them two stars. Well, that would have to do with long term service and support. When actual service appointments were done, the tech always arrived on time and fixed the problem. That isn't the issue here. The problem is that now in 2025 they have "gone through some trouble" with losing techs or something and they no longer service the area I live in. So, I now have this $30,000 heat pump and $15,000 oil fired boiler system and have to find someone new to service it. I'm sure I can find someone reputable to service the system. What really grinds my gears about this whole situation is that I went with this very expensive Mitsubishi heat pump / air handler system because it was what their techs were trained on. I trusted that it was the best choice because they would be able to get parts and service the system going forward into the future. They kind of left me high and dry and I am not happy about it.

Not only did he take on a job that someone else started and didn’t fix/finish….he made time during a heatwave, which was a less than ideal time for him I’m sure!!
