- STStephanie TMay 23, 20221.0We asked this company for a quote. I asked, how much does it cost for a quote? I was told there is not a charge for quotes. So why then, am I being charged for a quote which took all of 10 minutes?? The guy kept talking about nothing, and did not even have his tools with him when he performed the quote. And, if I had been told there would be a charge, then I would not have proceeded. Switch and bait tactics. LIES. Let me say this company lies on the regular. They told me they would come out one day and waited all day and never showed up. Call back again to see where they were and the guy comes by and is here for 10 minutes and is billing me for $190 "service call". There was no service, we asked for a quote (which they said was free) and we had to call them multiple times for the quote. Them not showing up or even calling to say they were going to be late should have been the first red flag. When we told the guy what we wanted he just kept going on and on about it, so basically running up his time. Horrible business practices and dishonest. No, do not use this company for anything. If they lie and try to steal such a small amount, imagine what they will do for any sizeable job. Lies, lies and lies. I will be contacting the BBB and possibly the tv stations about their dishonesty. Trash.

We used CT Traina Plumbing for the first time for a stopped up toilet. Two guys came, one of them who did the job and the other in training, who just watched. It took 10 minutes. As they were leaving, they said the bill would not be very much because they had just finished a big job nearby. Today a bill arrived for $190.00. When I called the company to express my concern, I was told the job took an hour and a half, because travel time was added and a helper needed. To make sure I’m being objective here, I called a reputable plumber (Bourgeois) known to be good and Not cheap. They said (1) a stopped up toilet requires ONE worker, not two ( though the 2nd CT Traina guy did nothing except watch, and said he was “learning”), (2) their price is $119 for an hour or under, and (3) they charge less if they’re coming from a nearby job. Beware.
