I finally called a general contractor and he quoted me $4,000 to replace them and said that was basically my only option 🤢 Naturally I did not have $4K just lying around so I did the only thing I could and kept an eye on it and made sure the water wasn’t getting into the walls (thankfully the tracks were holding it). Fast forward 2 weeks ago and I'm scrolling TikTok at 11pm like a normal person who can’t sleep and a video about windows pops up. I watch it because clearly I have window trauma now 😂 Tell me why I learned windows have warranties AND they can transfer to new homeowners! She showed how to find the warranty sticker, so I immediately went upstairs, found mine, looked up the info, and set a reminder to call the next morning. I call, give them all my info, explain the issue, and the guy goes “Yep, you’re covered. You just need to pay a $350 warranty transfer fee.” Sir. Take my money immediately. They send a tech out and within 5 seconds of looking at my window he says “Oh your drains are clogged.” EXCUSE ME windows have drains??? Because that was news to me. 15 minutes later he cleared them and added new drain holes. I spent another 30 minutes cleaning out the nastiest window tracks known to man but problem solved. I have learned a lot from TikTok but saving almost $4,000 might be my favorite lesson yet 😂 If this saves even one person from replacing perfectly good windows YOU’RE WELCOME! I cannot thank Window World enough!

When to buy replacement windows?
We recommend replacing your windows if your home’s interior temperature fluctuates too much and/or if your utility bill becomes excessively high each month.

Window World installs replacement windows year-round. A standard install will take only one day. Our installers install one window at a time and are trained to do whatever necessary to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from the new windows will recover any additional costs incurred within a few days.
What does “Any Size, Installed” mean?
The term “Any Size” refers to any size replacement double hung window our manufacturer will construct. Currently this is a minimum width and height of 15″ X 26″ and a maximum of 48″ X 78″. “Installed” refers to the removal of a basic double-hung wooden window and installing your new Window World double hung replacement window, using the existing wooden stops.
Will the replacement windows be installed from the inside or outside?
The majority of our replacement windows are installed from the inside. In some situations it may be necessary to install from the outside.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Your replacement windows will be installed within 4-8 weeks from the date that the final measurements are taken. The type of replacement window being installed and type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to install your replacement windows. On average each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
What happens to my old windows?
After installing your new replacement windows we remove every bit of debris from your property and dispose of it properly. If you wish to keep your old windows, glass or storm windows, please notify the installer as soon as he arrives for your installation.
