Is my countertop sealed and how often do I need to seal them?
Your countertop is sealed prior to project completion. However, some stones may require additional sealing over time. The resealing process is straightforward and involves simply wiping the sealant on and off.
If natural stone is so "indestructible" why can't I use regular cleaners?
For granite countertops, which are silica-based, standard cleaners won't damage the stone itself but may degrade the applied sealant. Marble countertops, being calcite-based, are susceptible to etching from chemicals found in many regular cleaning products.
Do I need to use polish on my countertop?

As granite is one of the hardest materials, with only quartz, silica, and diamond being harder, it's difficult to scratch. However, be cautious with unglazed ceramics, as they often contain silica.
