We haven't bought...looked around. Didn't care that it backed up to/part of Summer Hill, the neighborhood has had trouble. Time or two, police helicopters.
Few have complained the week + long St.Ann Seaton Carnival can be noisy in neighborhood.
Homes too close together, for the price. As if trying to squeeze as many homes into small area left of the small farm. If further out, maybe along beautiful Delong Rd, setting and atmosphere would much different. Property value be worth more down the road with Elersie next door instead of Summer Hill behind your home. Something to think about.
Some homes have high ceilings, our past experience, heating just dead space is expensive in winter, expensive to cool in summer. We'd rather use that money for other things other than heating/ cooling bills.
We decided to keep looking, for the best all the way around with another well known builder. It's not about how many homes you build, but the quality and location. We think resale someday could be an issue, due to being in Summerhill development.
My friend mentioned, she noticed also, after reading reviews for their company, bad reviews to look over not shown, on the * scale. There has been, and is, 1 star reviews. That was a red flag for her and husband. Decided on another builder, and definitely another location closer to Hamburg. Plus new Central Baptist Hospital and schools that way too.
Harper Woods was a " no" for us.
