A few weeks ago, Cody replaced our water heater on a Sunday, Jim replaced a part on our auxiliary heat on a Friday and today Cody installed a water softener. We have been members of the Comfy Club for years and it paid off for the timing of the first two services. Was it more expensive? Maybe, but we needed those things repaired/replaced in severe winter weather so it was worth it! The technicians know their stuff!

James Knight was our technician, and his expertise with Generac generators and strong electrical background made the difference. He refurbished and repaired our unit and restored the automatic transfer switch, which had not worked for years. The system now switches automatically to generator power whenever Kentucky Utilities goes down. Outages in this specific region of the Fayette County electrical grid are frequent, so having the Generac operating as designed is essential. James delivered exactly what was needed, and his work reflects well on both him and the company.

What a frustrating (and EXPENSIVE) experience. Stay away if you want things taken care of the first time! I had them visit my home when my heat went out. The first technician arrived promptly as scheduled, was polite and professional, but ended up billing me over $500 to flip a breaker on the furnace in my attic and “tighten a couple of wires” (his words, not mine). When questioned, he said that was their standard billing amount for “minor electrical work”, which is pretty absurd for less than 45 minutes of work. He did offer a $50 coupon to reduce the cost slightly. He also informed me that the breaker was going bad and would need to be replaced, and they would need to send out an electrician to do this. Here’s where it gets worse. The electrician came as scheduled two days later, but had not been informed that the breaker needed to be replaced, so did not have the parts to do this. So I got billed an additional $230 for his visit, which accomplished absolutely nothing. The following day, another technician called to let me know he was on his way. When I asked if he had the correct parts to complete the job, he said that there was nothing in the notes from the previous two visits about replacing a breaker, so he did not have the parts. At this point in the afternoon, the supplier was already closed, so we had to reschedule for the next day. Thankfully I was available, but having to be at home for 4 different visits definitely was not convenient. He was able to get the breaker replaced and get everything up and running the next day, however. All in all, I ended up paying nearly $1,100 to have a simple breaker replaced on my furnace, which is entirely absurd, and waited 4 days in frigid temperatures. I called in to see if I could get a partial refund because of how unnecessary half of the visits should have been, but was informed that these prices are standard. I spoke with a manager named Alex, who told me he would look into it, but never heard back after more than a week despite multiple attempts to contact him again. Ultimately I’m extremely frustrated by the experience, and question the business practices of this company. The complete lack of proper communication between their technicians to get what should have been a very simple repair done in a timely manner is entirely unacceptable, and the fact that they billed me for their mistakes and miscommunication is absolutely terrible. UPDATE Despite what their response to my original review says, Fayette H&A did not, in fact, call me to try to fix this situation. I attempted to reach out after my initial post, and have still not heard back as of 4 days later. It would be nice if a business would take 5 minutes to follow up and at least make an attempt to correct their errors, but apparently this is too much to ask.

They are very incompetent they turn our water off when they was working on the apartment underneath and then I asked him why did they turn it off and they said they didn't touch it had the water company come out here and everything while he was sitting there told my landlord that they had to turn off both boxes, and I said well that's a lie there you told me you didn't touch outs. Then they told me that it could have been a malfunction because of their incompetence.I wouldn't recommend this company to nobody if I could give them a negative five stars I would. Very unprofessional
