Not only do we offer exotic and domestic lumber, we also specialize in windows and doors, decking material, shutters, columns, and much more.In addition to building materials, we have a custom mill shop on site. Our Craftsmen have a combined 55 years of experience in the custom woodworking trade and have contributed to many of the restorations in Central Kentucky. Our contractor continually referred us to Congleton Lumber, especially for the more difficult tasks. They handled everything well. We recently had a poor experience with a couple of staff members who didn't return our calls or act in a professional manner. My wife called and left a complaint for the owner and, sure enough, we received a prompt, handwritten letter of apology and a very generous gift certificate to a local restaurant. In this day and age of faceless chatroom apps and the (unfortunately) commonplace customer service of NOT wanting to talk to a customer, our faith was quickly restored by an owner who cared to do the right thing and make the extra effort. - BHBill HavensSep 24, 20255.0I have an experienced window installer. He measured. Congelton also measured, and made my windows to their measurements, making installation much, much harder. Now taking everything out to install the new, and custom building the new frames to surround. The next day Congelton called to try and make it right. I'm reserving judgement until the job is done. We still have 7.5 windows to install out of 10. Now all windows are in. Congelton has made it right by reimbursing me for installation. Love the quality of the windows and will use them again in the spring for the remainder of m iny windows.
