Our gas furnace was out and through our home warranty we were assigned JL Mechanical. The furnace was repaired, no problem. Our technician was Jared and he was friendly, efficient, and quick.

L mechanical and healing, who did an outstanding and professional job in the time of me not having heat in my house, also a special thanks to Jennifer and Nicole for being so patient and understanding, please. Originally it was a repair call to fix my 25 year old furnace that had a bad harness. That lead to their being a 30-day lead time for the parts we could not wait it was cold! Talked to the office manager Jennifer and inquired about a new system since our furnace and a/c was old and struggling to keep up. She discussed pricing on a furnace only, and a completely new system, she explained how we could go through the home warranty but would have to follow their rules which would be $2,200 out of pocket, then they order the furnace only, and would be 2-3 weeks for install and 30-day warranty. A new system, with furnace and a/c directly with them 10 yr parts, labor warranty and 30 day installation warranty. Price was reasonable and they could install the very next day. The warranty itself was a no brainer. Tuesday, Taylor and Mark came to install, they were professional, and did a great job installing both units, and new thermostat. Next day, unit was not working correctly, called when I got home from work and the owner Justin answered the phone very easy to talk to, and sympathetic. I explained what was going on kept throwing high heat limit code on new unit, he apologized and explained the new units only go up to a certain heat limit and said he knew the fix would be to install a new one with a 10-15' higher limit so it would not trip it. He would have someone out there the next day with part to help the issue, I could not take of work again, so we decided Friday. Robert came out, and installed the new limit switch at 9am, then by 11am not working again, I called back talked to Nicole, when I got home from work and she re-routed Jared to come when he was already on his way home at the end of the day. Jared comes out and he did a fantastic job of taking his time, explaining what was going on, and using the right tools to get the job done. He made sure each vent was reading the correct temperature. He was professional and personable. I can't say enough good things about everyone we interacted with from the office team, team in the field and the owner. Highly recommend.

Update 2/16/26: The company came to fix her furnace the next day after she called. The replaced the circuit board and the transformer (?). I wanted to make sure that she says it’s running before giving an update. She says it seems to be doing well and she is so happy! So the company made good on repairing the furnace. Thank you for recognizing the importance of customer service.
Our daughter uses this company for home warranty and heating repairs. They are contracted through American Home Shield. She has been having problems with her furnace. It keeps shutting off. The same company has been out 5 times!! The problem has not been fixed. She works, so we stay for her appointment. The times they’ve come, it’s been two gentleman. The furnace has been working no problem for a year and a half. It is a Goodman furnace, a good brand! The heat will shut off, no notice, and the temperature will just drop! They came out, and please forgive me because I can’t remember the technical terms, but I am going to do my best. The first time they scrapped the heating coil. It worked for a little while, then shut off again, same issue. The gentleman came again, did the same thing, it worked a little while, shut off again. He came the third time, said it’s probably overheating, and doing short cycles. You might want to keep it on 68 degrees to help prevent that!😳 It worked again, then shut off. This time she requested a different technician. He did a check, and we asked him to possibly change the thermostat at least, which he did! It worked a short time, and cut off again!😫 The same gentleman came again and did a tune up, and had his supervisor on the phone! We, my husband and I, looked at YouTube, and talked about the different things they said it could be. He said that his machine tells you a code, so that’s not it. His supervisor said it could be the filter, and it was to thick, and restricting the air flow, and recommended getting the thin blue filter, which she did. He also said it could be vents in the ceiling, but her furnace has been working for a while, so we don’t think it is that. Here is the problem. When they submit the report to American Home Shield, they submit it as fixed and that closes the ticket. In order for her to get a different company, they have to submit a recall saying they could not fix the problem. What company willingly says or does that!🤨 it is sad she has to go through this! It is clear that in 5 tries, and the problem is not fixed, both companies should know we need to appease this customer, and get the job done!!! This is ridiculous!!! Stay tune for an update!!
