  I had an excellent experience working with the Door Store. After seeking three bids, this team was the first to visit my home and discuss installing a new window. They provided a detailed estimate and answered all of my questions. I also stopped by their offices to look at the window they recommended. The company for Bid #2 didn't come to my home and quoted a price over the phone without specifics. The team handling Bid #3 arrived without my name or any details on what I needed. They immediately asked if they could use my bathroom. I'm very happy with the finished product, and they were also kind to my dog, who always wants to help. I highly recommend this team and company.

  The Door Store provides Excellent Service in every way on every level. We have purchased doors here in the past and have always been 100% happy with the whole process and product. We worked with Amy who is exceptional in her knowledge of everything. She is extremely helpful down to the finest details. We truly cannot think of another business with such superior customer service, knowledge and quality.

  Updated Review (original review in photos): I wish Google would allow you to reply to the owner responses to reviews, but because I cannot, I feel compelled to write an update to my review because the response from The Door Store is completely inaccurate and full of flat out lies. In The Door Store's response to my original review, they claim they arranged for a service technician to visit our home and a manufacturing defect was identified. This is 100% false. We contacted The Door Store because our storm door was not latching properly. When the door closed, you had to finagle the door so it would latch and not open by itself. This issue began shortly after the door was installed. I should have called them immediately, but I did not. I did wait probably about 18 months after the door was installed to call. This was obviously a big mistake. When I did contact them, I explained this had been happening for quite some time and that we have been having issues with the door almost from the time it was installed. The Door Store did not arrange for a technician to visit our home as stated in their response. They gave us the phone number for the ProVia representative and told us to arrange for them to come to our home. My husband began communicating with Todd beginning January 10th, 2024. Over the next 2 months of trying to get our door fixed, Todd either cancelled or no showed on us 5 times. By this point, the door handle had fallen off and we could not get inside our front door because there was no handle to use! When he finally did show up to replace the parts (a z bar and the door handle), he installed a silver handle instead of a bronze handle. We were just grateful to have a handle in order to enter our home at this point. He did come back later to put the correct color handle on. A short time later (I believe about a month, but I do not know for sure), the door stopped latching properly again. I called The Door Store again and they sent out one of their people (their best installer, according to Amy). He fixed the door in about 15 minutes. According to the man who was sent by The Door Store, he said it was an installation issue and not a problem with the door itself. I even called back and told them I wish you had sent the installer first instead of making us deal with Todd from ProVia, because it was such a nightmare dealing with him. Amy acknowledged they had a lot of issues with the ProVia representative, so I am not sure why we were made to deal with him in the first place. At NO POINT were we told by the ProVia representative or The Door Store that there was a defect on our door. We still have not been told there is a defect, and this concerns me because of the recent issues, I feel we were lied to and misled. Additionally, we did NOT receive a new door. This is a complete and total lie by The Door Store. We were told by Amy that because we were having issues they were going to order us another door, but that NEVER happened. The door we have now is the original door that was installed by them. I did visit the store on 3/23 because a piece broke off the door. I was told "this is very common." I find it concerning that this is very common and question the quality of a door whose pieces readily fall off such a short time after installation. The visit "did not meet my expectations" because I came in to find out information on the warranty on the door, because we are having problems again. But I did not get the information I needed and was dismissed and yelled at by Amy. I never raised my voice to her, yet she was yelling at me and raised her hand to me. It was the most ridiculous customer service encounter I have ever had. She also refused to give me her name or the contact information for the owners. I am still hoping that I will get a call back from the owner that I requested via email and in person at the store to resolve the current issue with my door. But here's the bottom line: Go elsewhere if you are looking for honesty, quality products or good customer service.

  I had a great experience working with The Door Store in Munster from start to finish. From my very first phone call, they were incredibly attentive and took the time to really understand what I needed. They walked me through my options clearly and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. What really impressed me was how quickly they acted—within minutes of us hanging up, they already had a technician scheduled to come out and measure the doors. That level of responsiveness is hard to find these days. It’s also clear they’ve been in business for many years, because their professionalism and knowledge really show. Everyone I interacted with was courteous, helpful, and genuinely committed to making sure everything was done right. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive company. Great service all around!
