  Overhead Door of Muncie In September, our garage door broke, and Overhead Door was my first call. They initially responded quickly, came to the house, and provided a quote. We wanted a special color, and the salesman stated it would take approximately three weeks for the special order. That timeline was acceptable. What followed was completely unacceptable. We waited eleven weeks with zero communication—no calls, no updates, nothing. After nearly three months, I had to call myself and was told the door had just arrived at the Indianapolis office and that installation would occur the following Wednesday. The installer deserves recognition. He arrived on time, was professional, knowledgeable, and completed the installation without any issues. The door looks great and functions exactly as it should. His work was excellent. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. Communication from the salesman and/or office management was nonexistent. This rating is based entirely on that failure. A customer should never have to wait nearly three months and then call just to learn the status of a paid purchase. That is poor business practice and reflects badly on management and sales, not the installer. We are satisfied with the product and the installer’s work, but the overall experience was unacceptable due to the lack of communication.

  Absolutely terrible customer service!! Candy and Patrick just want to argue and blame us!!! Lee was incompetent by leaving our garage door dangerous! It almost fell on my son as he was walking under it! Door wasn’t at all like that prior to them coming out. Patrick argued with me when I complained. I always thought Overhead Door was a reputable company. After this encounter id definitely seek other companies. We already paid a service call of $200 now being charged another Service call to come out and fix the dangerous situation they left. Not happy with this company and these 3 employees. Lee was Service tech and when he came back out he had an attitude.

  The gentleman came out and looked and my garage door and Genie opener we wanted them to install. He was extremely dismissive and said it would be a "couple of weeks" before he could send someone to install. Weeks, turned to month with no follow up. So we called and was told since he could not find another job to do up here, he would not send his crew for just my job. I would not recommend this company if you want professional experience.

  Lee Kellogg was an outstanding technician w 32 yrs of service with Overhead Door. He arrived at the scheduled time, completed the installation of the new keypad, set the code and serviced the door. Very pleasant and provided information on the 18 point inspection plan and 24 hour emergency service #. Will definitely call Overhead for any future garage door service needs.
