    Terrible customer service, terrible communication, the worst experience ever! We ordered a sink, cabinets, countertop and back splash from Cabinets To Go in Merrillville, Indiana on 9/27/25. We paid in full at the time of ordering the cabinets. The salesperson was a new employee, and we were told by the manager that he had been transferred to a new store but would review the order to make sure everything was correct. That did not happen. Our cabinets arrived but did not fit. We were forced to change the initial design. We wanted a pullout spice cabinet, but it would not fit. Instead, we got a spice rack drawer insert that was ordered incorrectly once and sent again but was damaged. They never ordered the sink, and we were told that we would have to pay an additional $200.00 to order the sink because it cost more than the $300.00 credit. We wanted to run the countertop up the wall. They did not include the backsplash in the estimate when we were told it was included. We had to bring the cabinets that did not fit back to the store ourselves and were assured the new cabinets would be ordered. They were ordered two more times but never arrived. I never received a call from anyone informing me the cabinets would not be in. After calling the store, I was informed the manager didn't check the correct box when placing the order both times. The countertop company would not reschedule the measurement appointment until the correct cabinets were delivered. It took an additional two weeks to get an appointment for the countertop measurement. I tried to call the store multiple times, left voicemails, and spoke to someone who said the manager would call me back, but I never received a call. I called the corporate number for Cabinets To Go on November 20th and was told that the issue had to be handled at the store level by the store manager even though he was the one who kept ordering them incorrectly. I was assured I would get a call back in 24-48 hours. I never received a call from anyone. Finally received cabinets and installation started, however, the cabinet installer stopped showing up, and installation was not completed. On January 13th I spoke to the new store manager who didn't know the installer was missing and didn't know where the installer was. The countertop finally gets installed on January 14th only to find out the sink cabinet was not centered under our window, and the faucet is off center. Spoke to store manager and sent pictures to him on February 5, 2026. I was told he would be putting in a ticket with corporate, and he would be speaking to his manager about a solution. A different installation company had to come out and complete everything that wasn't finished. The list is too long to itemize. There were no problems with the new installer. We found out the cabinets were not even screwed into the studs and could have easily fallen. Since February 5th I have called the store manager 12 times, speaking to him only twice. I have left voicemails or spoke to other associates who tell me he will call me back, but he never does. The last issue with a drawer was addressed on 4/15/26 by the new installer, 7 months after initially ordering the cabinets. I was forced to take many additional days off from my job to accommodate them coming to fix their mistakes. No one has ever offered any sort of compensation or acknowledged the unprofessional handling of this job from the beginning to the end. There is not one thing I would recommend about this company and nothing positive I could say about this experience. I had to leave one star in order to leave this review otherwise they would get zero.

    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally address significant issues with a recent cabinet purchase and installation. Upon delivery and installation, it became clear that all seven (7) cabinets included in my order have defects. Specifically, the gray box component intended to secure the pull frame to the cabinet structure is not functional across all units. This defect directly impacted the installation process and required immediate intervention. Due to project timelines and financial constraints, I was unable to delay the installation or retain contractors on-site while awaiting a resolution. As a result, my contractors were forced to implement a workaround by drilling through the box component in order to properly secure the frame to the cabinet structure. While this solution allowed the project to proceed, it is not an acceptable outcome for newly purchased cabinetry and reflects a failure in product quality. For your review, I have attached photos clearly documenting the defects and the corrective measures taken during installation. Given the extent of the issue across all cabinets and the inconvenience, additional labor, and compromised installation involved, I am respectfully requesting a refund of 50% of the total cost of the seven (7) cabinets. Additionally, I am requesting a full refund for the following unused items: Four (4) trim pieces One (1) filler piece These items were not used and remain in original condition. At this time, I am not requesting replacement cabinets or hardware. The installation has already been completed using the workaround described above, and I do not wish to undergo further disruption. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and a resolution within a reasonable timeframe. Please let me know if any additional documentation is required to process this request.
