  In September 2019 I thought my 20-year-old air conditioning unit might have just died, so I called to schedule my annual furnace check-up as well as to have them see if the AC was fixable. They were able to get me on the schedule for a day or two later. I was overjoyed when the tech came in to show me the bloated capacitor he'd pulled out, and he told me it would only cost me $100 to replace it. Prompt, competent, and reliable; I would absolutely recommend Lafayette Heating & Cooling.

  Our outside unit motor stopped spinning on a Saturday night, which caused the whole thing to heat up, and the compressor to hiss. It was 7 PM, but we decided to call Lafayette H&C anyway. Darrin agreed to come out at 8 AM the next day - Sunday morning! Darrin tested everything, patiently explaining each step in detail, and determined that motor was the cause. The visit, and the replacement cost was reasonable - much cheaper than either of us had anticipated. Our unit is back to being functional, and we are happy. If there is a need, we'll definitely use them again!
