David Skaggs waltzed up and made the fix look laughably easy! I’ve don’t some DYI on the door in the past and I know this wasn’t the case. After he fixed the problem, he went and made sure everything else was in working order. A++ guys! Well done!
- JBJames BurierNov 12, 20251.0Bought a brand new house. Door is maybe 1 month old since it was the last thing installed. It doesn't open more than 6 inches. OHD has told my wife it was user error and said it wasn't covered under warranty. Then they finally sent someone out yesterday, told me it was the LED lightbulb installed. I informed them that is the blub the contractors installed over 2 months ago. They went on to tell me that 40° weather and below will cause the remote in the keypad buttons to not be able to open the garage door. Since this entire neighborhood has gone up over the summer I informed them that that makes absolutely no sense because all of the light bulbs are the contractor grade and all of the garage door openers are the same model that we have in this house and nobody else seems to be having this issue. They proceeded to accuse me of changing the lightbulb and I told them to go talk to a contractor across the road. The maintenance person left. My wife called customer service again. She was told to calm down when she was rightfully angry about the lack of support and service. Then the local rep on the phone asked who our builder was, when she said Arbor Homes, the rep laughed and said good luck. Then hung up.
