I've used Elgin for 20+ years and appreciate not having to deal with maintenance myself. If something ever does go wrong (a rare thing), a quick call to them gets someone here to fix it right away. Will stay a customer for sure.

They did a great job of installing our softener system, and we thought the price was a good value. I would use them again if we needed a new system in the future.

We moved into a home with a water softener from Elgin. It was 12 yrs old at the time and had not run for 1-2yrs as the home had been rented out. It is now 20 yrs old. Even though we did not purchase the unit ourselves, Elgin has been available from the start, answering any question from what type of salt to use to changing the regeneration time. We've never had a problem with the unit and have never even needed it serviced in all this time. Elgin has always been helpful and treated us as a valued customer.

Dealing with Elgin on the install and purchase of our water softener was great from the first phone call to the day of install. Gregg tested our water for free, shared many his years of experience, and put together a reasonable quote that was 15-20% better than the others we got. Braydon showed up earlier than expected and didn't leave until the install was done right and had answered all our questions. Great folks to deal with! Will call them again and so should you.

In my early days of being a customer with them renting a Water Softener unit, I experienced a failure with the rental and it caused a major flooding of my basement. I had to use my Homeowners Insurance to pay for a cleanup service. Elgin refused to help in any way financially with the cost of cleanup or to take any responsibility for the operation of their equipment. They just didn’t seem to care one way or another. So to new users of their services, Buyer be aware, of what kind of service or support you will get from them in situations like this. The equipment they rent appears to be well made it’s the installation service that questionable. They will replace old equipment with new at no cost to the customer after a certain period of time. Good luck.
