No other way to describe other than top notch. Josh, the journeyman, Nathan, and the apprentice, Kellan(sorry if spelled wrong) were quick, neat, very personable and professional! I've worked with a lot of contractors in my life. Josh and his people will be the only ones doing electrical work with me from here out!

Josh was incredibly helpful and friendly. He suggested I call Centerpoint, which I did. They came out and restored my power. Because of Josh I was only without power for a few hours. He will be my electrician from here on out!

Frequently Asked Questions About Josh Lamb Electrician LLC
Will any house accept an electrical vehicle charger?
No, the existing electrical service should be assessed by a qualified electrician and it should be confirmed that sufficient ampacity is available.
Is grounding really that important?
Yes, as grounding dissipates overvoltage from events such as lightning.
What is the difference between grounding and bonding?
Grounding is the intentional connection of an electrical system or equipment to the earth to stabilize voltage during normal operations and limit voltage surges from lightning or unintentional contact with higher-voltage, while bonding places everything at the same potential and ensures an effective ground-fault current path in the event of a fault to ground occurring in an electrical system circuit.
Do you provide lightning protection?
No. Our company utilizes the National Electrical Code, which is not a lightning protection manual, although it does require bonding them to the buildings grounding electrode system.
Does electricity really follow the path of least resistance?
No. This is a myth, that some programs and instructors still teach, but electricity will take all available paths.
Is copper better to use than aluminum?
Not at all. If properly installed, aluminum is fine to use, and best of all, more reasonable in cost. However, the National Electrical Code provides special instructions for the installation of aluminum.
How many receptacle outlets can be installed on one circuit?
Funny fact: the National Electrical Code doesn’t specify this number for residential applications, but does for commercial and industrial installations.
Is it permissible to install a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) in my crawlspace for a sump pump?
No. GFCI devices must be capable of being reached quickly for operation, renewal, or inspection without requiring those to whom ready access is requisite to take actions such as using tools (other than keys), climbing over or under, removing obstacles, or using portable ladders.
Why should someone choose Josh Lamb Electrician LLC?
First and foremost, we understand why we do what we do. We continue to participate in continuing education and are a member of organizations that work on and within the National Electrical Code panels. The owner, Joshua Lamb, still works in the field with teams as the need arises.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer 10% discount to all military and first responders.
