    Appel is an excellent provider: responsive, customer focused and reasonably priced. Our recent project - a new furnace - mirrored past experience with knowledgable and friendly techs who arrived on time and worked efficiently. Nate Evans who provided the initial guidance on what system to use impressed as with his earlier recommendations (for a somewhat tricky project in our older house that has some obvious limitations) and again came up with good ideas and a furnace that would meet our needs and budget. A great quality company overall.

    I gave a 5-start review based on my near 10-year experience with this company for my old house and my current house. The staff has been very friendly, and the business is very good to deal with. Because of all those years of experience, a small mistake can be forgiven so I decided to still give 5 stars while expressing my disappointment. I had a regular maintenance on December 3rd of 2025, and the technician mentioned the filter should be replaced. He said the filter would arrive "in a few days", and thus he removed the old filters and threw them away. Later that day, I got a call from the office with quotes, and I proceeded. I was told the "filter would arrive in 3 or 4 days; and once it arrived, we will give you a call and a technician will go to your house to put it in." Nothing happened so I made a call on December 11th and said I understand if there is some delay so I just want to check the status. I was told, on December 11th, that the part has not arrived and I will get a call when it arrives. I said thank you. Nothing happened so I made a call again on December 26th, asking about it. I was told the part has arrived and was asked if I will come to pick it up. I was like "what? You said I will get a call when it arrives and a technician will come to put it in. Nobody called me." The lady has been very helpful and scheduled a visit on December 31st for a technician to put it in. To clarify, the technician and the staff in office have been very nice and professional. I guess there is some miscommunication along the process. The technician on December 3rd assured me that it "won't take a few weeks", well now my furnace would be running without all filters for 4 weeks between the service and the filter installation.

    The tech Otis was awesome. Hands down the most detail-oriented HVAC tech I've ever dealt with. Other providers were quoting me $3000-$4000 to remedy a problem that wasn't a problem. One provider suggested I should consider buying a new system. Sending an email to the private equity owned provider I'd been dealing with to cancel my service contract made me so happy!

    Hello, I’m giving one star solely because of the person driving your company van today. What I saw wasn’t just bad driving — it was blatantly reckless and showed a shocking disregard for everyone else on the road. This driver cut me off twice and then forced me completely out of my lane during a left turn because they couldn’t be bothered to stay in theirs. This wasn’t a slip-up or a moment of inattention. It was the kind of aggressive, entitled driving that puts people in the hospital. No one representing any company should be operating a vehicle like that — ever. To be absolutely clear: I’m not criticizing your business or your services. I’m calling out a single driver whose choices made the road meaningfully more dangerous for everyone around them. There are families and children in those cars. There is zero excuse for this. I genuinely hope you take this seriously, because if this is how they drive, it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
