We unknowingly inherited structural plumbing issues from the previous owners who we bought our loft from. Over the two years of living here, we've seen four different plumbing companies, and finally we found EXCEL.
Lori and Maureen in the front office were so kind and empathetic to our issues, fitting us in immediately to the company's tight schedule.
Yuri was the first plumbing technician to come out, he was personable and professional and went beyond expectations. He even fixed a toilet handle in our other bathroom for free. Unfortunately our problems required something more than routing. And a week later EXCEL sent out Ed, with his assistant for the day, Dakota, and late in the day they scoped the pipes with a camera for free, figuring out that we needed to hydro jet the system, something a previous plumbing company couldn't figure out.
So Ed, after working all day the following day, returned at 6pm, knowing we only had one toilet partially working and our shower backed up, and he and his assistant for that day, Edmere, hydro jetted the unit, fixing the issue. This sounds dramatic but he was a hero.
Ed then passed crucial information along to his manager, Thom, who was patient with my questions, explaining the issues in a phone call, and he then made sure our HOA was aware that the issues and the repairs fell under common space.
We plan to only use EXCEL in the future, we're truly grateful for finding this family owned company, it really shows.
Punctual, professional, and pleasant and cleaned up when he was done. Would definitely recommend!

I have used Excel Plumbing and Air for years and this most recent visit was nothing short of excellent. Mike L. and Dakota were prompt and entered my home with shoe coverings which I really appreciated! They assessed water damage to my ceiling caused by neighbors and gave me a very honest recommendation. I highly recommend Excel Plumbing and Air and will continue to use them for future services!
Sewer line repair
Confused, that’s probably the best way to describe my experience. We had to fix a sewer lilne (root damage) of our 99-year-old house we just bought. Excel Plumbing was recommended by our inspector; we wanted to get this done first. First, they didn’t accept our credit / debit card or direct transfer from our bank account. They insisted on a payment link sent via email (not doing that) or 4% “fee” on the credit card charge (not doing that either). I sent them an old fashion check and it obviously took a few more days, for which they blamed me. Once the permit was approved, they came fast. And found a little problem, that cost another $2’000 and one more day. On the 3rd day the city inspector came and left, all good. Before lunch the crew left sending me a txt (I was in the attic of the house installing shelves) that they “leave”. I wrote back “are you coming back after lunch?”. No feedback. In the evening, I went back to the office and found an invoice in the email, the amount was correct and I filled out another check and mailed it next day, Friday. Monday, I got a call from Excel “when can we expect payment!”. It wasn’t exactly the customer call I expected. I asked “are we done, is the sewer line now in good shape?” I told her that I sent a check. She didn’t acknowledge if the sewer line is now finally fixed and the work is done; her job was to make sure I pay. And she was somehow not fit to understand the point of “check is in the mail”. She asked me again “when can we expect payment?!” I told her that I just said “it is in the mail”. I had to repeat it a third time.
I am not really sure if the sewer line is repaired, everything indicates that it is. The lawn and the garden bed – where they had to dig a hole with an excavator – is nicely patched up, looks good. The crew on site was polite and I had some nice chats. But, no project manager called me to confirm “mission accomplished”. A decent feedback would have been nice. And getting an unpolite reminder of “payment” isn’t helping either. I could have given the working crew the check if they told me they are done!
Don't think I would recommend them again, because I don't know, lack of information/communication.
The name says it all….call them if you want a company that provides exceptional service with exceptional people!
I was in a pickle, it’s Sunday (10/19) at 245pm and another company just ditched me! I only have 1 bathroom and it was out of service since (10/18) at 730pm!
I called this company and within minutes they confirm they can do an emergency service for me and me here today (10/19). Scheduling was easy, and honest and upfront about the time. Luckily I had someone out to me in 1.5 hours! Talk about emergency response time!
After setting up my appointment I get a text with my plumbers picture and name (Mike L). Mike arrived promptly, at the time that was agreed upon by the person who scheduled the appointment on the phone.
Prices were given to me up front by Mike and in the end that was exactly what I was charged. (I love no surprises when it comes to money!) Mike was knowledgeable, very polite, conscious of my home. He communicated well throughout the process. Truly a pleasure to work with!
10/10 will be using this company for all future projects or issues!
Thank you for helping out a gal in an emergency, being so prompt, keeping your word, and completing my job to full satisfaction!!!
