I experienced a power outage because of a neighbor shorting out the neighborhood while digging a fence post hole. My generator faithfully turned on, but the transfer switch failed. I called Oakwood electric, the company that has serviced my generator for years. They promised to have an electrician call back right away. After thirty minutes of darkness, I called Oakwood again at 3:12 PM. I asked once again for help. They replied that all of their electricians had gone home at the end of a work day. In desperation, I called Trupower, a new and different company. They had an electrician come out right away. The electricity was restored by this time. Never the less, Jim returned and did a test of the transfer relay. It failed. He diagnosed it and found the discrepancy and fixed it. Now I have a good generator and a responsive, professional and competent electrician. THANK YOU JIM. WELL DONE!!!
