  Needed additional power brought into garage for supplemental wall heaters to help with temp control in room over garage. They came out & assessed the work required to accomplish this which was running extra large certified conduit outside of house from southwest corner where Box was inside , all the way around the south rear of the house & east side of house & garage, then back thru the wall into the garage, running conduit to each side of garage & adding receptacles for each wall heater. Advise price would be high due to special conduit, length of run & labor. Got quote & it was pricy but i chose to accept the quote. Upon arrival they needed me to move items away from interior garage walls for access to install the interior conduit. (no problem) I moved everything as requested. They seemed to be spending a lot of time in basement so I went down & they were in a bedroom. I asked how it was going & they said ok but we had to cut a hole in your ceiling. There were 3 holes looking for pipe. I asked Jesse why & what they were doing & he said he decided it was much easier to run through (finished) basement ceiling vs going around the house with the special conduit. When they finished working & were ready to leave i asked Jesse if all the lights were off & cleaned up & he said it was. I paid them. After they left it dawned on me this was a much cheaper & shorter method vs what they quoted, so I called Trish & explained what happened. She advise she would contact them as they were not back yet. She called me back & Jesse told her it took them longer to do it this way so "it was a wash". A couple days later I needed something in the basement & checked the room. The holes were not patched, wall board pieces were on top of furniture & dust was all over. I ordered items to repair the ceilings & cleaned up & vacuumed. I won't use them again. I caution you if you do to get a detail scope of work & make sure they stick to it & inspect that everything is in repair & clean when they are finished before you pay them. The heaters work.

  Love these true professionals. The installed a whole house Generac generator. We have use them in the past to install a car charger and other electrical work. We are a repeat customer .Their pricing is very fair .Their workmanship is very neat, clean and done very well. Will use them again for future electrical projects.

  A small leak had been noted between our gas meter and our Generac generator. Technician Zair was sent to check out the problem. He examined our full operational system and told us what needed to be corrected. He solved our problems, and also showed us an upgrade that needed to be made. He was very courteous and left us with the feeling that when it is time for our annual check up this fall, we want him to do the servicing. We would highly recommend him.

  I had a serious electrical issue where the source of the problem was complex. I knew I needed the "A" team.. I am extremely grateful to Arvy at Oakwood Electric & Generator as he got right to carefully and methodically sourcing the problem very quickly and that wasn't easy because although my interior electric had an unknown cause of a dead short from over 15 outlets, Arvy found the source of the problem on the exterior switch on the porch that had burned. (Clearly very serious!) He also checked many other outlets and made sure I was going to be ok after the repair. Clearly Arvy and Oakwood Electric are the "A" team and I am very grateful to the smart efficient work but also for caring for my safety. I highly recommend Arvy at Oakwood Electric in Westmont .   I have received Annual Generator Maintenance ($280) from Oakwood Electric since 2020. I scheduled the routine service for this week 3/3/2026. The technician performed maintenance checks, changed battery because it was 5 years old ($125), then informs me the oil pressure light/sensor is on. He stated, the company would call me to send out another Technician. Oakwood Electric stated I would have to pay a service fee ($190) to send out a technician to troubleshoot the problem and also pay for any parts needed for repair. I immediately declined! I called another company located in Downers Grove. They sent out a technician the following morning, he fixed the issue within 20 minutes. It didn’t cost anywhere close to Oakwood Electric service fee of $190 plus the cost of parts. PLEASE STOP continuing business with companies based on loyalty!!! Take the time to shop around. UPDATE: To be clear, the other company I used have “Qualified Technicians,” who customarily, carry spare parts (specifically GENERAC) in their company vehicles when performing annual maintenance service. Had I used this company initially, I would have only paid (1) Annual Maintenance Fee and (2) Cost of Repair Part w/o any downtime. The Technician Oakwood Electric sent out to perform Annual Maintenance, specifically said he could “not” troubleshoot the issue and another Technician would have to come out, thus leading to (1) inoperable generator, (2)$190 Service Fee other company service fee was $70 ;-) (3) cost of spare part. It’s equivalent to hiring an electrician to install a light fixture, but he/she is only qualified to change a light bulb. In the Procurement world Oakwood Electric Business Practice is what we call “low-balling” or “buying in.” I “NEVER”threatened to leave a review, I was informed of the price(s). I replied, Thank You!
