Got a quote! They actually came out and did a quote instead of ghosting me! Very friendly and personable. Price ended up outside of our budget so we didn't proceed, but it seems to be in line with competitors.

We had Estate build two decks five years ago - one wood and one composite. We are very happy with both. When we called to have a rotted board replaced this year, they very generously replaced it at “no charge”.
Frequently Asked Questions About Estate Deck & Fence Inc
What areas do you serve for deck and patio construction?
Estate Deck & Fence Inc. provides services throughout the greater Rockford, IL area, extending our reach to Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Our service area encompasses the Stateline region, including cities such as Madison, Lake Geneva, and their surrounding communities. We offer expert deck installation, patio construction, and outdoor living solutions tailored to each location, whether you're in Rockford or across the border in Southern Wisconsin.
Why should I choose composite materials for my deck or patio?
Composite decking offers numerous benefits for homeowners in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. It requires minimal maintenance, eliminating the need for staining, sealing, or sanding. Composite materials boast superior durability, resisting moisture, rot, mold, mildew, insects, and splintering - ideal for Midwest weather conditions. They maintain their color and appearance for decades, even under intense sun exposure. Many composite products are eco-friendly, made from recycled materials. They provide a safe, comfortable surface that's splinter-free and cooler underfoot in summer. Most high-quality composite decking comes with extensive warranties. While the initial cost may be higher than wood, composite decking proves cost-effective over time due to reduced maintenance and replacement needs.
What types of decks and outdoor structures do you build?
Estate Deck & Fence Inc. constructs a diverse range of custom outdoor living spaces. Our offerings include custom decks (ground-level, elevated, multi-level, and wrap-around), porches (screened, covered, front and back), patios and covered patios, pergolas, gazebos, roofed structures, pavilions, arbors, trellises, and outdoor lighting for decks, patios, and landscapes. Each project is tailored to complement your home's architecture and style, aligning with your personal vision.
How long does a typical deck or patio project take?
Project duration varies depending on size, complexity, and weather conditions. Most deck installations or patio constructions are completed within 1 to 4 weeks from start to finish. During your complimentary consultation, we provide a detailed timeline to ensure you have a clear understanding of the project schedule.
Do you offer warranties on your work and materials?
Estate Deck & Fence Inc. provides strong warranties on our craftsmanship. We also collaborate with leading manufacturers to offer material warranties, particularly for composite decking, which often includes 25-year or lifetime limited warranties against fading, staining, and structural issues. Prior to project commencement, we thoroughly review all warranty details with our clients.
What is the difference between wood and composite decking?
Traditional wood decking offers a natural aesthetic but requires regular maintenance such as staining, sealing, and cleaning to prevent rot, warping, and insect damage. Composite decking, on the other hand, provides a low-maintenance alternative with consistent color, resistance to moisture and pests, no splintering, and improved longevity in variable climates like those found in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Many homeowners prefer composite decking for its aesthetic appeal and reduced maintenance requirements, making it a popular choice for busy families.
Can you build in winter or during bad weather in the Stateline Area?
Estate Deck & Fence Inc. schedules projects throughout the year, weather permitting. We employ proven techniques to safeguard materials during colder months. While spring through fall is generally ideal for construction, we're open to discussing options that align with your timeline. We can evaluate the feasibility of winter construction based on specific weather conditions and project requirements.
How do I get started with a deck, patio, or outdoor structure project?
To initiate your project, contact Estate Deck & Fence Inc. at 815-986-3325 or submit our online form for a complimentary, no-obligation consultation. We'll conduct a site visit, discuss your ideas, review material options (including the benefits of composite), provide design suggestions, and present a clear quote. Following your approval, we manage all aspects of the project, including permitting, design, and professional installation.
Are your decks and structures built to handle Midwest weather?
Estate Deck & Fence Inc. constructs all decks and structures to meet or exceed local building codes, ensuring they can withstand the challenges of Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin weather. This includes heavy snow loads, freeze-thaw cycles, humidity, and intense sun exposure. When using composite materials, clients benefit from enhanced resistance to weather-related damage, providing additional peace of mind.
