I have dealt with Midwest equipment in Normal il. for years. They have always taken care of my needs from the front door to Will getting my equipment in and back to me most of the time sooner then expected Don makes the buying experience easy. The girls at the front desk are knowledgeable on all parts. You will not find a friendlier store/shop.

I cannot say enough about the positive experience I had getting a Generac standby generator installed by Midwest Equipment. Troy was the man who came to my home, answered my questions, and wrote up my contract. He was friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and not in the last bit pushy. The workers, Tom and Tyler showed up on time and they, too, treated me with respect. They informed me every step of the installation and picked up after themselves. I am so thankful that I chose Midwest Equipment by responding to an online ad on Facebook. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Generac. There is a reason they are the biggest distributor of Generac in central Illinois!

Their website says their mission statement is: “Treat Others As You Would Want To Be Treated”. Apparently, Midwest Equipment wants to be lied to repeatedly, and have poor communication, and just apologizes when they’ve been wrongfully hurt. Hire their competitor!! Problems on top of problems. Got their info from Generac for a quote. Sales guy was prompt and on time. Seemed to know his stuff. Advised they could do propane as well, and could install about 2 weeks after we closed on the house. which we said yes to. We scheduled an install for the end of Dec 2025. Day came and no one. I called to find out that for some reason, it was the right day, wrong month! The sales guy had even written the date down for me which is why I was so confused as to how that got messed up. So reschedule (nothing other than apologies and rescheduled to make it right, no compensation) So weeks later, get installed. Also, received a call from Generac because the sales guy had never updated the file AT ALL! and they wanted to know what was going on with the file. So now, wrong delivery date schedule, and the supplier calls me directly because they don’t even know what’s happening. Generac called them directly about the issue and also cause apparently Midwest was in trouble with Generac for also not having something else done with warranty stuff and fudging dates… soooo yeah… Now, Woke up this morning to no heat… called Midwest, and find out they don’t do propane delivery, and no one told me. Instead I had been given me the impression that they do by the sales guy, and it had been checked during install. Now, I’m scrambling, trying to get propane delivered same day in the middle of winter to a freezing cold house. Manager has only offered apologies and to “call the local propane provider” to see if they can speed up delivery. That was 1.5 hrs ago. I just spoke with the local propane provider… they haven’t heard a word from Midwest. Another lie.

I sent my employees to go buy 3 zero turn mowers and a tractor. They were telling me the sales rep was very rude to them. I personally went myself and acted as a customer and was treated the same way! My company JBV will never need repairs or sales. Thank you.
