  Had some water backing up. The guy came very fast to the house which was commendable. Had some small talk and I asked him some prices for putting in a new pipe if necessary. Said they run roughly 5k or so. He put his flashlight on , looked at the main stack and priced 1600 just to rod the line. Price was ridiculous. This place will never get my business. Charged 98 to tell me that water was backing up a bit which I said on the phone. He didn't even pick up a pair of pliers. Then asked what my budget was. Sounded scam likely

  I highly recommend this service. Tiger was courteous and professional. He quickly diagnosed what he thought the problem could be, which made me feel like he had experience, and he also informed me that it could be something else. Fortunately, it was the lesser cost of the two possibilities. Unlike the last plumbing service I called, I didn’t feel like I was being overcharged when he left. Vertical was not cheap, but I think they are fairly priced. I have finally found a plumber I will use for all of my plumbing needs. Thank you Tiger!

  Tyrek, the repairman, found the problem right away. I felt that the price I was quoted was excessive; as, up until a few months ago, I would have been able to do this job myself. Now I find myself unable to do such things due to my failing health. Due to circumstances (this was an apartment building, with the tenants having no water), I elected to have him proceed with the work. He worked expeditiously & did the repair well. Other plumbing concerns had no plumber available today, they are all so busy with the extended -0° that we are having. I was happy to have the job completed today, so that my tenants could resume using their water. This was a pleasant experience, from my initial phone call, to Tyrek's prompt arrival, & subsequent repair. If I need to, I would use Vertical Plumbing again.

  I needed a new wax ring on one of my toilets. It's not too hard of a job and tried to do it myself, but I couldn't get the bowl to line up correctly. So, I looked for a plumber online. Vertical plumbing said they could come out immediately. They had a service charge of $98, which would go towards the repair cost if I used their service. The tech arrived and looked at where the water was leaking from and said he could change the wax ring and align the toilet bowl for $980. Now, from everything I read and researched, if you do the job yourself it would cost between $10 - 15. However, the amount from a professional plumber should range around $90 - 250. I told Vertical plumbing that I wasn't going to pay $980 and he could leave. At that point he asked, "What is your budget". So, now he's playing "Let's Make a Dealing". I had him leave and found another plumber who fixed it for $100! Bottom line is that I wouldn't call this company again if they were the last plumbers in the United States! BTW, I paid the service fee, but shouldn't have, since the tech never removed the toilet to verify the issue. Stay clear of this company!
