I was searching for a local family owned HVAC company to replace the existing unit in my 1 bedroom Condo. I came across "On The Mark" and saw their numerous 5 star reviews. I decided to give them a call. Turned out to be a VERY good decision. They hit the ball out of the park! From the initial call, to the installation of the unit, and every step in between, the process could not have gone smoother. Great job guys, and girls! Thank You. Wishing you continued success! RH

Always so professional, knowledgeable, kind , clean , fair and compassionate when things needs replacing. Chris is awesome!! Been coming to my home 2x a year for years. This time found major cracks in the furnace which had been realizing toxins into the air I and my cats breath. I have been getting daily headaches, nausea and extreme lethargic. All now explained. Also cats have been vomitting a lot lately. I’m so grateful he took the time to show and explain everything. Will be needing a whole new system now and Mark and crew are working with me to get money from manufacturer ( class action lawsuit) and also working with me to afford the new system. I am so grateful for this company and the people that work here! Thank you! Jennifer

Anyone who has owned an older home for more than two or three years knows that – no matter how well-intended they may be – most plumbing, electric and HVAC installers and service companies fall short on their promises. The job takes longer than they think, the cost is higher than estimated, service-after-installation may be non-existent. That’s why we give a full five-star rating to On the Mark Heating & Cooling! In the two or three years we have been using On the Mark Heating for our heating and AC seasonal tune-ups and other services, they have not only kept their promises and exceeded our expectations, but they recently amazed us with their extra-extra-extra zeal to insure our 100% satisfaction in the purchase of a new furnace and heat pump system for our home. The company’s top guy in the field spent an entire afternoon at our house, checking out our space, measuring our windows and thoroughly educating us (with the help of an iPad) on what was available in heating and cooling to suit both our environmental and budgetary needs. And, oh yes, we wanted a built-in humidifier too! That was the rub. Our home is a single-story with no basement. Our “furnace room” is a closet. The man was not at all certain there was room for a humidifier, but he took pictures and promised to pass them around the office for ideas. At 8 a.m. on the scheduled day three men showed up to install our system, completing the job just past sunset. While one man showed us how to use our new digital thermostat, another returned tools to the truck, while the third swept our floors… with their own broom. Sorry. No room for a humidifier, they told us. But someone is going to call and come over to take another look. About a week later, we received a call and a visit from the company’s founder and president, Mark Portuese. He pulled out his tape measure, made some calculations on his iPad. “I think we can do this for you,” he said. “How’s Friday?” It took the tech a full eight hours to move around the piping and ducts, rearrange the wiring and install the humidifier. It wasn’t easy, but he knew what he was doing and he was determined to get it done. We love our new furnace, and – on these very, very, very cold and dry winter days, the humidifier is a real blessing. Oh, did we mention there was no extra charge for all that extra installation work? All we paid was $850 for the cost of the humidifier unit. Service above and beyond… promises made, promises kept. That’s really On The Mark!

I have a mixed review. Good customer service and response with checking in. Techs diagnosis was correct( wasn’t to many options seeing I replaced and or adjusted most parts) I will say with my service background that when a tech goes to my furnace before turning it on after me explaining everything I’ve done and current issue his second question is have I had my heat exchanger checked.( yes I know it’s a concern and safety issue) but has not really done much at this point makes me think they want to sell me a furnace based on age not what they see. He was polite did some on and off tests and inspection. But will say when the professional I hired says I think it’s your control board. Unfortunately sounds more like a guess not a technical evaluation makes me wonder if he’s guessing or he tested everything to come up with this diagnosis. He said it was cause the flue heats the board and causes failure. But all my wiring that sits next to the flue shows no sign of that as the cause it just failed. I understand it’s a part they do fail and he was right but I want confidence in the professional I hire to fix my furnace not feel like he’s guessed his way there given I replaced everything else already. Sure a regular homeowner that doesn’t know it’s fine but I was expecting a confident and clear explanation. When I asked how much he said probably like $1300. I asked can he fix it he said no I have to order the part. He said he’d call with a quote in the morning. I went to janitrol/goodman dealer next day got the part for $180. I get parts mark up travel to pick up techs wages, insurance gas vehicle cost but a board takes literally maybe 10 minutes to install. What was all the cost then? My fault not asking for a breakdown of the quote to see what everything was being charged. It’s hard to feel in times of severe cold was I being price gouged? Like I said customer care the lady who called very kind very polite and very helpful even the tech I spoke to earlier in the week very nice and responsive I’d give them 5 stars in that aspect. But the experience outside of that I can’t.
