On September 12, 1957, Ron Wilson started his working career at Decatur Buildings Supply Company in their heating and air conditioning division.
After almost 10 years, the company decided to close that division. This provided Mr. Wilson an opportunity to purchase it and start a new heating and air conditioning company, which he named, Tica, Inc.
The name Tica comes from the first letters of Total Indoor Conditioned Air, which is what Tica has provided for their customers for 50 years.
Through competitive pricing, quality workmanship, good service and reliability, Tica, Inc. has grown to a company of 35 employees.

They were professional, courteous,polite, and answered any questions we had. After the job was completed they throughly cleaned up leaving no mess. Thank you Tica for a job well doneš. - GHG HarrisJul 19, 20253.0So about three weeks ago my AC stopped cooling. It is 8 years old and was installed by Tica so its still under warranty (parts). It was a Thursday night so I had to call the after hours number. The tech called back, said it sounds like the capacitor, he said I would have to pay the overtime labor but that the part was covered. But he had 2 more jobs ahead of me and doubted he would be out that night. I called the office the next morning and again explained my situation and was told that no one could get to me that day and that the overtime list for that night was full. It would probably be next week. I explained that I was supposed to leave town and its a warranty issue and you installed it. Same response. Since I was trying to get out of town and needed this fixed, I called another company knowing that I would have to pay labor and parts. Tica called back and said they checked and saw that I was in fact on the overtime list for later that night. The other company got to me that morning and 20 minutes later it was fixed. So I called Tica back and cancelled. And I am aware that parts can go out at anytime but they had just been out to do a spring checkup on the condenser a couple of months prior and said everything looked good. I guess I just expected a little better response to my issue from the place it I bought it from, the Trane dealer and that it took 20 minutes for the other company to fix it.

Showed up on time had a detailed estimate the next day outlining different heat pump options, labor warranty cost, and left his number that I could text and call any business hours and get a call back and a message back right away Unfortunately, my three estimates for AC did not go well as Jessie heating and cooling never sent me an estimate And designer drop the ball and is not the same company that I worked with 13 years ago I kept getting their estimate, including a furnace or not Including everything we had discussed. Save your time save your money go with Tica co. And Tica, they have an amazing annual service plan (for fall and Spring) thatās super affordable compared to design air! It is gonna be very hard to stop my Train* installed by Tica co.!
