I had one of the most disappointing customer experiences I’ve ever had. I drove 1.6 hours specifically to visit this store and purchase micro cement, and I was genuinely excited to learn more. I spent over 2 hours in the store, being patient and flexible while staff stepped away multiple times. From the moment I walked in, the owner treated my presence like an inconvenience. Every question I asked was met with dismissiveness or condescension, including comments like “I don’t even know what you’re asking,” delivered in a way that felt belittling rather than helpful. Early on, I asked for help calculating the square footage and materials needed for my project. The owner spent about 30 seconds on it, gave me a number, and moved on. It turned out to be incorrect—had I relied on that alone, I would have purchased only about half of what I needed and would have had to make another 1.6 hour trip. Thankfully, a newer employee, Nate, took the time to sit down with me and properly recalculate everything, which completely changed the amount I needed. As someone new to this product, I was hoping for guidance—not to be rushed through or talked down to. While I was waiting to check out with over $800 worth of materials and managing my 2-year-old son, I had him sitting with me at the counter alongside the items I was purchasing. The owner came over, visibly annoyed, moved the items I was purchasing, and asked me to move my child — so he could set out pizza for himself and staff. I had originally positioned my son in front of me so I could keep an eye on him, but after being told to move him, he was placed behind me while I faced forward to check out. Moments later, while I was actively checking out and asking questions, the owner interrupted to tell me to “please be sure to watch your son.” That was particularly frustrating, as the only reason I couldn’t directly see him at that moment was because I had been told to move him. That moment really summed up the experience—an active customer, ready to spend money, treated as less important than a staff lunch and then criticized in a situation that had been created for me. The only reason I completed my purchase was because Nate stepped in and treated me with basic respect and willingness to help. He was the only positive part of this experience. However, as helpful as he was, he was still learning and didn’t have all the answers to my questions. I left having spent over $800 and still don’t feel confident that I was guided to the right products for my project. I came in ready to learn and make sure I was purchasing exactly what I needed, but the owner was unwilling to take the time to answer questions or provide proper guidance. There is a real possibility that I was sold incorrect or incomplete materials, which is incredibly frustrating given the time, distance, and money invested. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and honestly shocked at how I was treated after spending that much time and money there. If you’re expecting helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful service—especially as a beginner—I would strongly reconsider. As a woman walking into a space like this, the tone felt especially dismissive and unwelcoming.

Last July I stopped in and I needed some supplies to complete an epoxy/poly acrylic garage coating. Danny was super helpful in getting me all the tools that I needed as well as explaining the process on how to apply. I originally got the coating from an online vendor but everything turned out fine thanks to Danny’s thorough explanations. I should have got the coating from BDC to begin with, because they were so helpful. I would highly recommend this store.

Misled us about the color of the epoxy and the consistency. Literally was just a money grab and tried selling us unnecessary items. Spent almost 1k for my floors to be ruined.

I appreciate both the knowledge and product selection they offer. They work as a team and take time to understand the task when I explain what I want to accomplish. They also have some nice equipment to rent. I will use this company again in the future.
