Apparently if your heat is not working and you take the cover off, your heat will not work because there is a switch on some models that someone can activate by hand, but keeps the heat from working when the cover is off. Some sort of safety feature to keep me from melting my hand, I guess. Blower motor is shot and I need a new furnace, but Alex did not make me feel like an idiot for not knowing about the switch that gets pressed in by the cover. I appreciate someone being kind enough not to roll their eyes at my ineptitude. I would recommend Besco and Alex to anyone.
