Run. Away. Fast. BluSky failed the Post Remediation Verification (PRV) following work at my home. Blusky Restoration Contractors presents itself as a professional mold remediation company that follows IICRCS 520 standards. This is the protocol for mold remediation and BluSky states this on their website. This is the gold standard for this type of work in their industry and they failed. Those standards were not followed. After completing work at my home, the project could not pass Post Remediation Verification (PRV), which was the entire reason for hiring BluSky. The failure was significant. One bathroom had a spore count of 37,000, indicating that contamination remained after remediation. Instead of removing damaged subfloor, BluSky chose to cover it up with new flooring. I also discovered that subfloor in the furnace room, which I was told had been removed, was only partially removed, and instead they did a workaround, leaving contaminated material. BluSky also installed a dehumidifier in my crawlspace and there is an ongoing puddle underneath it. Photos of the furnace room showing original contaminated subfloor, PRV test showing the elevated spore count, the puddle in the crawlspace and BluSky’s website stating they follow IICRC S520 protocols are included. Based on this experience, I would not recommend BluSky. Had I not picked my own inspector and went in my crawlspace to confirm their work, I would’ve paid a lot of money for nothing. I have reached out to the corporate office with all my documentation and they have not responded.

They were hired and confirmed to have been paid $8k to drain the basement in the residence I’m trying to purchase. I also confirmed there was an additional quote for services but the seller’s insurance had an issue. Thus, per Jared’s comments to me, she was due back $2,500.
I’m curious why a couple laters after that conversation, I see BluSky employees exiting the residence. Taking their equipment.
While I was in basement, standing in at least 8” of water, I could overhear some of the employees wondering why I wasn’t unhooking their equipment 🧐
Then, one of the employees was tasked to go down into the basement to retrieve the hose I was, for whatever reason, expected to unhook. While that employee was down there, the other one outside of the residence can audibly be heard actively encouraging the employee in the basement to “Breathe it in”..he was not wearing a respirator.
I expect answers be given to the current owner and this situation be remedied swiftly.
I made several attempts to contact Jeremy Rakers and was told I would receive a callback. Nothing.
Sure I don’t technically own the house yet.. but to admit to taking $8k to drain the basement and to not finish even doing that much. Then to hear employees either joking or actively telling one another to breathe in unsafe conditions is absurd at best. I’d be curious what kind of track record the company has with employees attempting to or successfully suing homeowners or insurance companies for work-related or hazardous claims.
Honestly it’s disgusting behavior and I’m thankful I was lawfully recording all of this while I was inspecting the basement that day myself.

Was very impressed by the level of work as well as the amount of communication that this company had. The work was well executed in a timely manner with many updates so as to help me make better decisions. This company seem to go above and beyond to make my small project for my new house. James and Richard never seemed to get frustrated when I added or changed things mid project either. I love the new flow of my master suite as well as all the new flooring making my house seem more open and flowing. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and if I ever need work done I would use them again.

We had a really great experience with Blusky after a small house fire. The entire team - Scott, Jared, Christian and the labor crew - were awesome. Easy to work with and always available for questions. Glad we got connected and would definitely recommend!
