Seems it's either a design issue (poor material choice) or a manufacturing defect. Either way, it reflects poorly on Carrier. I've never had an issue with previous Carrier HVAC systems... But brand loyalty is no longer there.

Other than a few hiccups here & there my experiences with all employees of Green Air Care have been very good. Afterwards he informed me of 2 suggestions which both were in the hundreds of dollars range. Ouch for us. Other than that, everything went smoothly and efficiently. Time will tell. As to the charges, not sure how to compare since we are on a plan with Green Air Care for this particular unit. However, I can say that the price quoted for cleaning out the vents seemed overpriced so I did a query online. According to AI, I was quoted a figure normally used for an average sized home while this is for a 1bd unit so it should have been like half (or less) than what was quoted. I verified with Green Air Care & they said the price they quoted was for a home under 1200 sqft. I have not yet verified with others as to if these are new higher costs industry wide.
