Frequently Asked Questions About Heartland Granite & Quartz Countertops

What is the difference between granite and quartz countertops?

Granite is a natural stone extracted from quarries, while quartz countertops are manufactured using natural quartz combined with resins to enhance durability and consistency. Granite countertops feature unique patterns, whereas quartz offers a more uniform appearance and superior resistance to staining.

Do I need to seal my granite or quartz countertops?

Granite countertops require sealing to protect against stains. At Heartland Granite & Quartz, we apply a 25-year sealant. Quartz countertops, being non-porous, do not need sealing.
