Pruitt Mechanical has done an excellent job, coming to our rescue when no one else was available, replacing our water heater and performing a complete HVAC overhaul. They are professional, customer-friendly, reliable, and meticulous. We look forward to entrusting Pruitt with additional work (shower installation and later, electrical upgrade) and are confident they will do excellent work for us again. Highly recommend!

Every job we have had done from them in the past 3 years has needed redone. They installed an outdoor electrical box, that needs replaced, they put laminate over carpet which meant we had to replace both of those when the basement flooded, they replaced our furnace and put a kink in a hose that caused our basement to partially flood. Go to tiger or b&w or Riverbend plumbing or honestly anywhere else.

I was recommended Pruitt Mechanical for some work that needed to be done. I eventually went with them for a new hvac system. They are friendly, professional, courteous, and usually very prompt with getting out to the house for a call. Most businesses make you wait.
I have no complaints and would highly recommend their services!

I don’t write negative reviews — ever — but this experience needs to be shared.
Things started out great with Pruitt Mechanical. Joe was enthusiastic about the job, made big promises about service and communication, and even gave me his personal cell number so I’d “never have trouble reaching him.”
Then everything fell off the rails. Calls went unanswered, messages weren’t returned, and no one showed up when they said they would. I didn’t even realize they had backed out of the job until my bank notified me that Pruitt hadn’t picked up their check — despite the title company calling their office twice. No courtesy call, no explanation, nothing.
Instead of communicating like a professional, they quietly canceled their invoice and disappeared. That’s how I found out they weren’t doing the job.
The lack of communication and accountability was extremely unprofessional.
In response to Pruitt Mechanical Thank you for your response. I want to clarify the factual record so anyone reading has an accurate understanding of what occurred.
1. I did not receive a single phone call, voicemail, or message from your Operations Manager.
My call log and voicemail history show no missed or returned calls from Pruitt Mechanical. If there were attempts made, they were not to my number.
2. My project timeline and expectations were communicated clearly from the beginning.
At no point did I pressure your company for unrealistic deadlines. In fact, after your team said you could handle all plumbing, electric, and HVAC, I waited patiently for weeks with little to no communication back from your office.
3. The utilities, locating, site prep, and engineering requirements were already completed by my excavation and utility teams prior to your involvement.
Your statement that these items were performed for me “free of charge” is simply not accurate. Those tasks were handled—and paid for—separately by the crews I hired directly.
4. The first time I learned that you were not doing my project was when my bank informed me that your invoice was canceled.
I immediately attempted to reach out for clarification. I received no phone call, no message, and no explanation from anyone at Pruitt Mechanical until long after the fact. That is not professional communication.
5. I have never asked for anything outside of normal expectations for a contractor on a new-construction rough-in. I was prepared to pay, move forward, and schedule, but I cannot work with a company that does not return calls or provide basic follow-through.
I wish your team well, but it’s important that the facts are presented accurately. This situation was not caused by my timeline, expectations, or lack of communication. It was caused by a lack of communication and follow-through on your end.
