Came out immediately, discovered a concealed leak in addition to what they were called out for to check a hot water heater. Immediately addresses the concealed leak by removing a toilet that had a bad seal and opened the ceiling, and fixed that leak. Couldnd have asked for better service.

Frequently Asked Questions About Oxford Plumbing & HVAC
How do I unclog a toilet?
The most effective method for unclogging a toilet is using a plunger. If you don't have one available, an alternative solution is to pour dish soap or laundry detergent into the toilet bowl, followed by a pot of boiling water. Wait a few minutes before flushing. The combination of hot water and soap should help break down the clog and flush it through the drain. For more complex issues like persistent clogs or toilet repairs, consider contacting Oxford Plumbing & HVAC for professional assistance.
Why is my toilet always running?
A continuously running toilet is typically caused by a faulty flapper, which is the rubber or plastic valve at the bottom of your tank that fails to create a proper seal. To troubleshoot, open the toilet tank and adjust the float arm. If the water stops about an inch below the overflow pipe, the flapper likely needs replacement. For professional help with toilet repairs or other plumbing issues like water heater problems, don't hesitate to reach out to Oxford Plumbing & HVAC.
My water bill went up. How do I check for leaks?
Increased water bills are often due to running toilets, which can waste up to 200 gallons daily, or leaky faucets that can drip up to 20 gallons per day. To check for leaks, inspect your faucets and listen for hissing sounds in your toilet tank. If these areas seem fine, you may need to examine your water line and hose bibs. For professional assistance with leak detection, water heater repairs, or sink issues, Oxford Plumbing & HVAC is available to help reduce your water consumption and lower your bills.
Why is my shower pressure low?
Low shower pressure can be caused by different factors. If the pressure drops when other faucets are in use, it may indicate an insufficient water supply due to an inadequate plumbing system. If the issue persists when all other faucets are off, it could be due to pipe leaks or blockages. For professional assistance with shower repairs, water heater issues, or other plumbing concerns, contact Oxford Plumbing & HVAC to address your home's needs.
How do I fix a clogged garbage disposal?
To fix a clogged garbage disposal, first ensure it's turned off. Then, insert an appropriately sized hex or Allen wrench into the disposal motor's hole. Rotate the wrench back and forth to dislodge any obstructions causing the jam. If you encounter persistent issues or need professional sink repairs or drain cleaning services, Oxford Plumbing & HVAC is ready to assist with our expertise.
How can I prevent clogged drains in my home?
To prevent clogged drains, avoid allowing hair, oils, greases, coffee grounds, pasta, or hard produce parts like broccoli stalks, carrots, or apple cores to enter your drains. Using a drain stopper or filter can effectively catch these materials before they cause blockages. For more information on drain maintenance or to schedule professional drain cleaning services, contact the experts at Oxford Plumbing & HVAC.
Do I need maintenance on my kitchen plumbing?
Regular maintenance is recommended for kitchen plumbing, especially if you're not comfortable with DIY repairs. If you're experiencing issues like leaky pipes or faucets, clogged drains, or low water pressure that you can't resolve on your own, it's advisable to seek professional help. Oxford Plumbing & HVAC offers a range of services, including drain cleaning and sink repairs, to keep your kitchen plumbing in optimal condition.
How can I prevent frozen pipes?
To prevent pipes from freezing during cold weather, allow your home's sink faucets to drip slightly without interruption. This is particularly important if you plan to be away from home for several days. For additional protection against cold-weather-related issues, such as HVAC installations or water heater repairs, Oxford Plumbing & HVAC is available to provide expert assistance.
What is a sewer line inspection camera?
A sewer line inspection camera is a waterproof device designed to visually examine sewer lines and other underground pipes. To schedule a professional inspection using this technology, contact Oxford Plumbing & HVAC. Our team also offers a wide range of other services, including toilet repairs, furnace maintenance, and drain cleaning to address all your plumbing and HVAC needs.
How often should I have my septic system inspected?
