We recently had our roof and skylights replaced by ABC Roofing and Siding. Project Manager Peter Forde went above and beyond to assist us through the process, and oversee the project every step of the way. The installation team was fantastic as well. Everything was installed with expertise and cleaned up after the install. We are very happy with our new roof and our updated skylights!

My experience with this company was impressive. I contracted with John McCool after he inspected my home for hail damage. He was present when the insurance adjuster came and found a lot of damage the adjuster overlooked. John fought a long battle on my behalf when insurance denied coverage for various items. He made many calls, researched, provided evidence/documentation, and refused to take no for an answer. After months of fighting, insurance honored all claims.
John came to my home around ten times, despite living three hours away. His communication was top-notch; updating me on the status of claims and informing of dates and times of when workers would be at my home. He was extremely responsive, professional, and friendly with all my questions and concerns. John aims to please and made this one of the best customer service experiences I've had. You will not find a better contractor. Many thanks to John for his hard work and to ABC Roofing & Siding for their quality products and services.

We had a massive storm rip through the city in the spring that dropped golfball sized hail everywhere. We had the opportunity to work with John McCool during our repairsnto the siding and gutters. Our roof was excluded before an insurance claim due to a metal roof exclusions, but we had work that needed to be done to it anyway and John was happy to help. As it was a repair and replacement of only a portion of the roof he went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good color match on the existing roof. The crews that came out for installation were quick and efficient. I would strongly recommend this company.

Frequently Asked Questions About ABC Roofing & Siding Co. PLLC
How to prevent ice damming on my roof?
Ice dams can cause a lot of trouble for your roof, so preventing them is a smart move. Here are a few things you can do:
Insulation and Ventilation: Make sure your attic is well-insulated, with an R-value of at least R-30 (R-38 in colder climates). This will help keep heat from escaping your home and warming the underside of your roof, which can melt snow and lead to refreezing at the eaves. Proper ventilation allows cool air to circulate in the attic, preventing heat buildup.
Clean Gutters: Regularly clean your gutters in the fall and throughout the winter to remove leaves, debris and any ice buildup. This allows melted snow to flow freely and prevents water from backing up under the shingles.
Roof Snow Removal: During snowfall, consider using a roof rake to remove some of the snow from your roof. This will reduce the weight on the roof and the amount of snow available to melt and refreeze. Be safe and avoid getting on your roof yourself if there's a risk of slipping or falling.
Ice Melting Products: There are roof ice melting cables that can be installed along the eaves to prevent ice dams from forming. These should be installed by a qualified professional.
Other Solutions: Some other options include metal ice and water shield underlayment installed during re-roofing, roof vents, or de-icing chemicals.
