I first want to start out saying this is not something that I normally do but I feel others should be aware of by this company. I had a complete tare off and new roof project that was handled by insurance. The delays were not exactly the fault of abc however there was many delays and many were because of the disputes with the insurance claims. Eventually project was comleted almost a year later. But the biggest part of the problem came when they could not stop a leak in a skylight on a carport.
After three visits out they basically gave up. I had to make a choice to remove the skylight or live with the leaks. I decided to remove the skylight. For about a year with a solid roof in place all seemed good. This year with some snow and an ice melt (bear in mind I have ice shield installed ?) snow melt comes dripping through the bottom side of the carport roof. After three calls to the office and promises I would be called back I have not heard from abc in over three weeks now. I also paid for the repair to remove the skylight. And they originally billed the insurance company to fix this area. So you decide if you want to go through a scenario like this or stay very far away from this company.

Stay away from ABC and Dean in particular! It's been less than 3 years since roof install and it's been one thing after another. Leaks, ice damns, power vent shaking whole house, blocked roof vents (yes they blocked my roof vents stating that was the cause of power vent shaking house when on), nails on shingle not sealed, missing animal barriers/screens and now dealing with a rodent in my attic, holes and gaps between roof and facia, contract confusion, confused me with another client, unprofessional invoice/contracts.... I mean it's endless. See pictures for yourself.

My porch roof was leaking. On Facebook I asked for recommendations, I got three and all three were for ABC. When Dean came out to inspect, he did a quick, no charge repair. That didn't hold, though, so the repair was scheduled and done in two days, roofing the first day and downspouts on the second. I only had part of the money owed and Dean worked with me pay the rest over time.

ABC Roofing & Siding was outstanding from start to finish. They were professional, on time, and handled everything — from the initial inspection to the final clean-up. Mark Smith's communication with both me and the insurance company made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Top notch service all around. I highly recommend them.

From Paul to the material pick up person, everyone did a fantastic job. Thank you all again.
Frequently Asked Questions About ABC Roofing & Siding Co. PLLC
How to prevent ice damming on my roof?
Ice dams can cause a lot of trouble for your roof, so preventing them is a smart move. Here are a few things you can do:
Insulation and Ventilation: Make sure your attic is well-insulated, with an R-value of at least R-30 (R-38 in colder climates). This will help keep heat from escaping your home and warming the underside of your roof, which can melt snow and lead to refreezing at the eaves. Proper ventilation allows cool air to circulate in the attic, preventing heat buildup.
Clean Gutters: Regularly clean your gutters in the fall and throughout the winter to remove leaves, debris and any ice buildup. This allows melted snow to flow freely and prevents water from backing up under the shingles.
Roof Snow Removal: During snowfall, consider using a roof rake to remove some of the snow from your roof. This will reduce the weight on the roof and the amount of snow available to melt and refreeze. Be safe and avoid getting on your roof yourself if there's a risk of slipping or falling.
Ice Melting Products: There are roof ice melting cables that can be installed along the eaves to prevent ice dams from forming. These should be installed by a qualified professional.
Other Solutions: Some other options include metal ice and water shield underlayment installed during re-roofing, roof vents, or de-icing chemicals.
