From the moment Don stepped through my door, the experience was unprofessional. He forgot one of the testing devices — specifically, the combustion gas sniffer — and immediately began trying to upsell me on additional services. Despite paying in full months earlier, I waited nearly two months for a basic report that should have taken minutes. Instead of delivering results, Don repeatedly pushed a $495 “general air quality assessment” for my upcoming home — something I never requested. He also pressured me multiple times to either purchase an $895 TO-15 test package for my neighbors or convince them to buy testing from him — completely outside the scope of what I hired him for. As a licensed healthcare professional, I was deeply disturbed by how I was treated. I felt extremely uncomfortable, dismissed, and spoken to in a condescending tone. When I raised concerns and reported irregular results to the appropriate authorities, my integrity was called into question. When Don failed to provide a clear analysis, I contacted qualified third-party professionals — including my state’s health department and accredited environmental authorities. I was yelled at for doing so, despite this being part of my professional and ethical duty when it comes to public health. There are far more reputable companies offering the same services with better communication and professionalism. While I wanted to support a small business, I’ve learned that giving the “small guy” a chance isn’t always the right move when basic integrity and accountability are missing. I would not recommend this service.

I would not recommend Don at Air Quality Analysts. On Wednesday February 14th I noticed that the furnace was not working properly. 4 weeks earlier I had the same issue and was serviced and apparently not fixed. The furnace was not keeping my home warm. So I called and put in another claim for someone to come out. A service tech was sent out on Thursday February 15th to look at the problem. The technician was at my house for about an hour and did not know what was happening with the furnace. The owner (Don) of Air Quality Analysts called me to tell me that there was a problem with the duct system and that there were pieces of the ducts missing. He told me that on Monday February 19th he would come out to look at it himself, so we can figure out how to fix it, but he was sure the warranty wouldn't cover it because it is a pre-existing problem. He also told me that over the weekend he would give me a call to let me know when he would be able to come to the house. I did not receive a phone call. On Monday morning I called him to see when he was going to come and he told me that they were very busy and he would call me in a few hours to let me know when he would be able to come. He did not call me. I waited a few days because I understand that companies are busy. I called him again on Thursday to follow up. He told me to keep monitoring the system and let him know of any changes and he would come first thing on Saturday the 24th. I never received a call from him. I called him on Saturday and he told me again to keep monitoring the system, and that he wouldn't make any more money to come out but he would come out because he told me he would. This is the last time that I spoke to him. I was frustrated so I called a local place to come look at it. The local place did many diagnostic tests and said that the computer board needs to be replaced because it is not communicating properly with the furnace. They said that it was not a duct issue. (I am able to provide that document if needed) The lack of follow through and business practice is unacceptable. I was not taken seriously, and brushed off.

Don and his team have helped us with our HVAC systems since we moved to Illinois and they have been a godsend. Fair prices for good work. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with HVAC issues.

This guy was the worst decision hiring for a mold test, charges literally a arm and a leg 475 for indoor and outdoor testing, kept getting off subject of the matte the was hired for, after testing promised I would have my results about a week I ended up having to call him for them, told me I didn’t have a mold problem in his test, after months of suffering mold symptoms I used a at home mold test that came positive... save your money from this guy very regretful using his negligent ripoff service

COVID measures were NOT taken. The analyst told me that COVID is “just the flu”. Talks too much and too loudly. Both are shown to spread the virus. Did not wear gloves or shoe coverings. Removed mask half way through the process. The analyst is oblivious to how his actions are contributing to the virus spread. Update: the analyst was much more prepared on the following day. Perhaps he just had a bad first day.
