Took a couple of tries to get the system all up and running but they followed through very well and did a good job. System is very versatile with lots of color patterns and the finished product looks very good. The lights are all individual and can be easily exchanged if needed, but I don't expect that to happen. Now I won't have to go through the annual drill of having lights put up and down.

We are very happy with our install, and the quality of the lights!
With the industry exploding, and laborers being tough to keep (both assumptions by me) I think they maybe struggling to keep up with demand, but they are VERY easy to communicate with - via text, just as I prefer. They made good on every promise they made me.
We’re already looking at extending the lights to the back of the house, as we realize now what a great look these give outside of just “Christmas lights”.
Our installer, Dillon was super nice, accommodating, and professional as well!
Communication and follow through are both horrible. When you call, they rarely answer. I’ve tried setting up an appointment twice now over the last couple of weeks to get an estimate done. Nobody showed up for the first appointment time. I called to find out where they were…no answer. Got a text instead that said they would look into why nobody showed. Never heard back. Setup another appointment for yesterday and told the lady that nobody showed the first time. She told me she would make notes on the account and assured me that somebody would be coming at the appointment time. Shortly before, I received a text saying the technician was having car troubles and needed to reschedule my appointment for today. I responded telling him that this was the second time somebody hadn’t showed up and I didn’t know what time I would be available today. Told him he could still stop by if he didn’t mind us not being home. He never responded. It’s unbelievable to me how unprofessional this company is when you are paying a lot of money for their product/services. I get it’s the holiday season, but that doesn’t excuse the poor communication and lack of follow through. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that actually cares about their customers.

I read all the previous great reviews, but our experience wasn’t all that smooth. For those wondering about the costs, we spent $9461 to wrap our entire 4000 square foot home. However, no matter what you spend, the installation and system should be top notch. We paid a 50% deposit at the time of signing.
Nate Grant was excellent in visiting and working with me on the quote. Having saved for two years, I decided to go ahead and do the entire house to avoid getting on the roof to string lights.
Our install was scheduled for 12/8/25 and within the 4-6 week timeframe from when I signed the contract. To make a long story short, no one arrived on this day, even after I called and was told someone would be around in the afternoon. As the day concluded, I sent a text message letting them know my displeasure. The install was then scheduled for the next day.
A side note: Not sure why, but Bosso appears to prefer to do business via texting rather than an actual phone call.
The crew did show up the next day, and even though I was told it would take two days to install (at 200 feet per day), they were done in less than 7 hours. Were they told to rush? No one on the crew spoke English, so we used our phones to translate. Don’t get me wrong, they were hard working and very friendly, it just made it a bit of a challenge to communicate correctly.
The light strips all seemed to be installed correctly but later found one of the two control boxes not be secured to the wall very well. This was corrected later. The power cords could have also been laid out better, which you can see how I corrected this in my photos. The only other thing was that they left a couple of pieces of lighting track laying around.
In their own contract, they clearly state that the customer MUST be present when the installation is completed for training on the system or they could charge you $150 to come back. Well, no one was there on Tuesday, and no one arrived on Wednesday as I was told. We finally connected on Thursday morning. I will say that when the crew left on Tuesday, I was able to spend some time myself to get the app working and the lights to function.
All this being said, here is my opinion on the Pros and Cons:
Pros:
The lights really do look amazing, and they have MANY default presets you can choose from and even modify.
You can create your own custom presets as well. (I have not done this yet)
You can set schedules and have 8 zones, but check my Cons comments for limitations.
5 year parts warranty and 1 year warranty on labor
Cons:
If you want multiple schedules to change color schemes, and as was explained to me, you MUST have a one minute where you have no lights on between them. I tried to do a test where as one schedule ended, the other was to pick up from there. But, as it is right now, you cannot end one schedule and start another at the same time, nor can you overlap the end times so they all end at the same time. I have so many smart lights around this house that do this very thing without issue. I’m hoping they fix this, even my sprinkler system works this way.
ZONES! The system is supposed to be able to have zones where you can have different schemes of lights. When I tried this, it works great….until I turned the system off and then back on. After that, the lights all started blinking very rapidly. The only way I could stop this was to do a preset for the entire system so all the lights were the same preset. Jonathan, who was out on Thursday, told me it was an issue before and hadn’t seen it in awhile, so I truly hope this can also be fixed in the near future.
The APP:
The app, as far as I’ve used it, is fairly easy to use. They did force me to watch three 30 second ‘commercials’ about addons you can choose before I could continue
I’d like to see if they could have the app show the current preset in use.
If you want to connect with Alexa, etc., you have to upgrade for 14.99 or 19.99 a month, which also has AI and music integration. $19.99/mo also oddly gets you priority handling for warranty.

My overall experience with the lights for my house was good. However, communication was severely lacking in the beginning. Once I paid my down payment, I had no clue how the scheduling would be done or when it might be done. After hearing nothing for about a week or two, I started calling the company and texted the guy who came out to do the quote (who disappeared and never responded). I was concerned that I had been ripped off, tbh. Finally, the company called me back and I was given a vague timeline for installation. I think for us "normal folks" spending a lot of our money for something, we expect excellent communication and customer service regardless of where our house is or how big it might be.
That being said, once installation was done, I was really happy. There were some hiccups with timing and I did have to point out some unsightly wires (white wire sticking out of the black tracks), etc. but my installer was excellent and made sure I was happy before he left. He took care with the aesthetics of my home while installing the lights and running the conduit into the garage. Even during the frustration of trying to get the lights initially programmed in the app, he was courteous, helpful and patient.
I still am trying to get used to the controls and features but I will point out that the presets are amazing and the amount of features is almost overwhelming! My house looks beautiful and fun. One thing I would suggest is changing the "Schedules" options so that we aren't forced to put a start and end date. Some of us like to just set it and forget it, so to speak. Another surprise I had was that if you want to enjoy all of the features of your lights, you'll need to pay a monthly subscription! After spending this much money, I'm kind of shocked that I'd be expected to spend even more to use all of the features that it has.
Overall, this was a great experience but I think Bosso needs to work on a few things as stated above. I look forward to seeing those improvements as I enjoy my new lights!
