  I unfortunately had a terrible experience attempting to have Remodeling Contractors work with us to replace and install a patio door. After coming to our home to take measurements and provide a quote, Remodeling Contractors asked me to go to Beisser Lumber and pick out the door as this is a vendor they work with closely. I had never heard of Beisser and was directed to their location and specifically who to work with at Beisser. I went, picked out a door in their showroom, they wrote up a quote. A no time did I provide measurements or further information. I sent the quote I received to Sarah at RC. She discussed the quote with Beisser. She then directed me to place the order because apparently Beisser had quoted a lower price to me than RC could receive. I called back and asked them to pull up the quote they had discussed with Sarah and asked them to order the door. A few months later, the door arrives and RC shows up to install. They first ask me to sign an install contract, which I do. They then proceed to open the door and discover it opens and closes in the wrong direction. Instead of taking any responsibility for this $3k door, they say it is between me and Beisser, that they don't order doors or supplies for clients, and that they don't provide any measurements per their "policy" that I've never seen. Beisser refuses to take back or exchange the door because supposedly it is a custom order due to them not stocking it, even though it was on their showroom floor and is standard sized. I didn't find this door randomly online and I never provided measurements, Sarah at RC did. Zak then tries telling me not all is lost, I have a contract to install the wrong-way door, and they would still install it. This is not a solution. After knowing the owner for years, I was shocked and dismayed to be led astray and then to be completely dismissed. Not to mention I've supported a non profit he manages, and previously mis-directed several Remodeling clients to his business. Likely, they will comment that this issue is my fault as ultimately I placed the order. If this is how they do all their business, please run far away before you too are left with an unusable $3k door sitting in your garage. Update...still have door in 2024. Still no resolution. Still run far!

  We moved this summer, and Remodeling Contractors Handyman Service was awesome! We had some paint touch ups and small home repairs to get our home ready to sell. What would have taken me days took them only a few hours, and the house looked amazing! It was so easy the first time, we asked Jason and Duane to come back to the new house for some electrical installations (fans, lighting and switches) and some exterior maintenance paint. They are always so nice and professional (and less expensive than others we looked at) - we will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone!

  We were extremely impressed with the entire design/build group. From the first meeting to final walkthrough we felt listened to and heard. They really took the time to work through our concerns and changes. The subs were wonderful to work with and the area was kept clean and we were updated and informed as work progressed. They came in on budget and did a fantastic job!

  Remodeling Contractors recently completed a remodel on a loft we own downtown Des Moines, IA, and I love the end result! The team had great communication meeting the set schedule expectations, cleaned up our loft each day before I returned home, and achieved the design I had envisioned. I highly recommend this home and remodeling company!
