The roof Replacement went OK, I guess.
There was a misunderstanding on my part that the siding on the dormers Would be replaced. That turned out not to be the case and the result is that the dormers look better but incomplete.
Also, the drip edge meeting the gutter is inconsistent resulting in an unprofessional appearance.

Tony and his team replaced the roof on our house and we couldn't be more pleased. We had two layers removed and various repairs done. The work was professionally and perfectly done. The entire process was thoroughly explained by Tony and his team executed the plan on roofing day without delay and to perfection. The roof was done on day 1 and the metal work took only a few hours on day 2. The shingles look great on our house and the metal work, including other fixes, demonstrates Bakeris' attention to detail. The estimate was reasonable and the results far exceeded our expectations. Five stars is earned and well deserved. We highly recommend Bakeris Roofing to our family, friends and anyone needing a new roof, roof repairs or any of the services they provide.

Contact your insurance company, document the damage with photographs, and schedule a professional inspection to assess the extent of the damage. While storm damage never comes at an opportune time, it's important to call in roofers ASAP to ensure that the next storm doesn't cause any further damage. According to the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, on average, Iowa sees close to 50 tornadoes, tens of flash flood events, hundreds of severe thunderstorms, and thousands of non-severe thunderstorms every year. Be ready for them by quickly addressing roof damage.
Is it possible to install a new roof over the existing one or is a tear-off necessary?
If you install over an existing roof, usually the shingle manufacturer will not stand behind their warranty. Most roofing companies will not do it either due to it voiding their warranties. With over 30 years of experience, our team of professional roofers doesn't recommend this approach to roofing installation. Give us a call today to learn more about our commitment to excellent, long-lasting roofing solutions.
