The technician did a quick check inside then we went out to the outside unit where he removed the top faster than I could count the screws. He immediately found a bad capacitor and we had a working air conditioner before lunch time. The repair was so quick and fantastic that I was able to run down to Kern's Sweet Corn wagon and cook a dozen without fear of adding any heat to the house. The billing price was actually pretty decent.
