We chose almost immediately to avoid this company. They do offer a nice product, I will give them that. However the rep they sent out was all over the place and very unprofessional. He walked in and obnoxiously measured windows that we don't even have a desire to replace. He spent 70% of his time during his consult to show a presentation on a tablet, and pressuring us to give information on competeors we have consulted, all while flipping through a binder of warranty prints & reasons to avoid all other competitors. He spoke incredibly loud, almost shouting the whole time. He was very scattered during his time & came off as pushy at the end, calling his boss to "adjust numbers", outrageous for that too. We informed him that we must replace front door and back door needs to be converted to a sliding door, possibly the basement sliding door. He did not have a catalog and never showed his swatches for color matching. He spoke more about why we should choose them more than he listened to what we wanted, needed and could afford. He badmouthed Anderson renewal saying they were 10% higher and to avoid them over warranty and installation. He then proceeded to quote us $110k for a total of 3 windows in our home and informed us that they don't take care of siding afterwards, meaning you will need to do that yourself or hire elsewhere. Anderson renewal showed up and listened to us, and used a tablet to virtually generate what we wanted and showed us what a finished product would look like, their quote $44k to finish a job start to finish. I have 50 windows in my house, and Anderson quoted $80k to do them all, including custom ones. It looks like Mad City gave misleading information with that 10% difference they tried to sell us. Steer clear
I would be very mindful of this company and how they try to sell themselves, very cocky. And make sure you understand subcontractors and warrantys as they will try to educate you on it all, their way the whole time.

Brand new shower leaks. They came out two days later to fix the leak and it still leaks.
Edit: They did come out on a Saturday to fix the leak. I added photos of things that need fixed as well from install. Already put in claims on the website for these. Shower head and valve are 3/16" off of being plumb. Gouge in the door frame that the installer tried to cover with a marker. Gouge in the handle by the door as well. For the amount of money this cost it should be as close to perfect as possible.
I've talked to multiple people at Mad City about these issues already. You have my info and need to call me with a resolution. Also not happy with being told by the local service manager to just not use the shower until they could make it out to look at it. Id like to be compensated for needing to get a hotel room to shower since they could not send someone out in a timely manner. My schedule was a part of that but worked it out to where someone would've been there to let them in to look at it.

Javier Acuna and his crew were wonderful! All of my questions, concerns, or requests were answered, alleviated, and completed. The crew worked very quickly to get the old windows out and the new windows installed as they were working on our home after a 5” snowfall in quite cold temps. Our house stayed warm in spite of the big holes that were open for a bit. They were prompt both days in their arrival and got right to work. His crew were diligent about the work they were doing and didn’t leave for lunch until an appropriate stopping point. I was quite pleased with how conscientious each of them were about taking off and putting boots back on as they went in and out repeatedly both days. My house was not left with a mess. The windows were neatly trimmed, caulked, and finished, and then each one had the stickers removed for me and cleaned.
We are very pleased with the workmanship of the crew and the good communication we had with any questions.

AJ is excellent at his job and quick. He patiently explained things to my wife.
We don't have a problem with the person who was sent to install it. The only thing my wife is very upset about is that she called and left a message at the home office in Grimes, Iowa. No one returned her call after more than 24 hours, and it's happened to us twice. She had to keep calling until she reached them. We're considering another bathroom, but we're nervous about the treatment.

Called for a quote for my bathroom. $26,000 for a 5x10 bathroom, are you kidding me? The salesperson came in, did not even look at the room but yet could supply a quote. A different, “local” company came in and first thing he did was pull out a tape measure and want to see the bathroom. Btw, he won the bid did the work and did a great job for 1/4 of Mad City’s bid. Do your homework!
