Van Meter's roots are in Cedar Rapids - and they have been since 1928, which is when we first opened our doors. Company founders R.L. Van Meter and R.W. Lemley outfitted Van Meter's headquarters with fluorescent lighting, making it the very first building west of the Mississippi to ever incorporate this technological feature. Today, our headquarters office and service center are situated on the north side of 32nd Avenue while our Central Distribution Center and sales counter - along with our indoor drive-through service area - are all directly across the street on the south side of 32nd Avenue. Our Cedar Rapids serves as the hub for the 800+ product lines we carry. Nearly everything is in stock; if it isn't, we can get it for you quickly.
