  I reached out to them via email with a genuine proposal, and in response, I received a curse word from the owner, Brett. I’ve been rejected many times before, but never in such a manner — and I don’t believe I deserved it. I don’t know him personally; he’s probably a good person otherwise. I would gladly remove the review if I receive a simple “sorry” from Brett. ***Update: Typing in all caps doesn’t make your point more valid, Mr. Brett. I had no intention of scamming you, nor have I ever scammed anyone in my life. I offered you a free sample of my rendered floor plan service — something I regularly do for other home builders, many of whom become long-term clients. Your only response was the F-word. That was the entirety of our interaction. Not only were you mistaken, but also very rude, Mr. Brett. I was prepared to remove my review, but now I believe it is fully justified. Good luck.

  Bottom line: Quality. As a retired architectural designer I had high expectations for the construction of the retirement home I designed. After vetting several companies I landed on Maui Built Homes. I knew, from experience, that when you hire a builder you are really hiring people, and after just a few days into the project I already knew that I'd hired the right group. Everyone involved was professional and a pleasure to work with - Brett (the owner), John (the Project Manager and a "Make things happen" kind of a guy), Tom (the Leader Carpenter and quintessential perfectionist), Cody (the Assistant Carpenter and up and coming "Tom"), and Daniel (the Assistant Carpenter) were impressive. On top of all that, their vendors (roofing, plumbing, electrical, solar, etc.) are all of the highest quality too. We worked well together and became family - They are that kind of company. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Thanks Maui Built Homes for our beautiful home!

  I just had two beautiful home projects completed by Maui Built Homes. Brett, owner, and Johnny, project manager, were so easy to work with. Their crew built the most fabulous patio and converted a spare room into a lovely and functional utility/laundry room. I was dreading all of the worry that goes with renovating but everything was handled smoothly, quickly and beautifully. I wouldn't think of using anyone else for future projects.

  I highly recommend Maui Built Homes. They are very professional, easy to work with and offer fair pricing. Their work is excellent quality. I am very happy with their services and definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great contractor!
