- SSShakuDec 30, 20255.0I had a couple of toilets replaced, with bidet seats. Mike G did a professional job, including leveling and sealing, which had not been done before. He was pleasant and communicated well. The appointment was easy to set up. The product was a good brand (Kohler). I am happy with both the company and the plumber they sent me. I will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs.

Though they were not able to find the leak we appreciated the quick response, the communication and the willingness to help. They were also very honest with us about the next steps needed, sending an estimate for the continued work. Would recommend them if you want to try and find a leak before excavating.

I booked a service call to check my A/C, and was informed after the fact that the diagnostic fee would be $283! The technician was at my house for maybe 15 minutes, took a quick look, said there was no pressure in the compressor, and told me the whole system likely needed to be replaced. He couldn’t give me a quote or any pricing for the replacement, and said someone else would need to come out later to do that. No repairs were done. No parts were used. No written estimate was provided, just a verbal comment that “it’s broken.” Then I received an invoice charging a service/diagnostic fee AND a charge for “parts,” even though no parts were provided or used. When I questioned it, they tried to justify it using a legal exemption that had nothing to do with the real issue: the diagnostic fees were never disclosed in advance, or that they would charge me an additional $75 for being a "zone 2 customer" or for "parts" that were never used. When I called them and asked what the parts charge was about, they said that it was for the tools they used to do the diagnosis (i.e. wrench, pressure gage, etc.). Why am I paying for their tools? I would have given them tools to use had I known! Anyway - lots of other great options on island, save yourself the trouble and skip Kauai A/C when considering your HVAC needs.
