  The folks at Tradewinds were terrific! Jo in the office was understanding and efficient. She sent Curtis out the day my garage door spring broke, a huge relief since I couldn't get my door open and the cars were inside. Within a week, they installed a new spring, everything works great now!

  Definitely recommended for their excellent work. They were the only company that answered on a weekend when the tension springs broke trapping two cars within. They came as soon as they could and Curtis did a great job repairing the springs and went ahead servicing the entire garage door operations. He found the rubber belt was ready to break and replaced it. Curtis was extremely knowledgeable, personable, experienced and explained every step of the way so I could better maintain the operating system. Who does that today. Their office staff is just as helpful, experienced and professional. Would like to get to know all these guys better. Outstanding work by everyone.

  I recently contacted this company for a roll-up door quote, and the experience was very disappointing. The pricing was unclear and inconsistent from the beginning. The written quote stated that installation was included, but after several messages they said the price was only for the door and shipping. This caused unnecessary delays and confusion. I have lived on Kauai for 12 years and regularly ship various items through Young Brothers. I am very familiar with freight costs and the actual market price of galvanized roll-up doors. A door that typically costs around $1,000 from Los Angeles, or $1,300–$1,500 in Hawaii, should not have such unclear pricing and explanation. I also received quotes from other local companies where door + installation + shipping were all under $7,000, yet this company’s price for door only was almost the same. The lack of transparency made me lose confidence in doing business with them. I decided not to move forward and will be working with a different company. I hope they improve their communication and provide clear, consistent pricing in the future. The PDF you sent to me clearly shows a total price of $5,968.58 — not $5,300. Your written quote also states removal of the old door and installation included, but later you explained it was only for the door and shipping. This is where the confusion came from. At no point in our email conversation did you mention anything about needing to fly technicians to Kauai or rental equipment. That information only appeared after my public review, not during the actual communication process. Other companies on island quoted me under $7,000 including door, installation and removal, which is why your price for door + shipping only felt unreasonable in comparison. I am not here to argue — only to present the facts: 🟩 Your written quote: $5,968.58 including install (as stated in PDF) 🟥 Later verbal explanation: $5,300 for door + shipping only Two different numbers, two different explanations. This was my experience, and my review reflects it honestly.
