  Island Comfort has been great to us in the past but we always had to get past an employee named Kari. The last time we tried to get a repair done she kept pushing the cleaning, but it made no sense to clean a unit that wasn't working. I didn't want to get stuck paying for a cleaning if it couldn't be fixed. This time I was scheduled for a 1pm appointment on a Monday but they canceled (wife stayed home all day), so I rescheduled for Wednesday. I got a text on Tuesday from Kari to please give her a call to confirm details and keep me on the schedule. I called and I asked why I had to call in and confirm when they cancelled on Monday. No new details were discussed, and then she said she wasn't going to go round and round and asked if I still wanted to have my unit serviced, said she wasn't going to be yelled at, and I admit I wasn't speaking monotone but I wasn't yelling. Now I have to hope and pray I receive her call or text when the technician is ready to come to my house between 12-2pm or I guarantee I will get passed over. Just show up at the time you agree to be there!

  The AC unit that was included with the purchase of my home is probably as old as I am, but still functional. Channel from Island Comfort came out to give it a health check, cleaning, and servicing. As I was expecting, it is on life support. She was very thorough with the inspection and provided pictures of the many problem areas as well as maintenance recommendations to keep it alive as long as possible. I highly recommend Channel, she knows what she's doing.

  Was recommended this business by my neighbor to have my Mitsubishi split A/C cleaned and serviced. Called at 8:45a on Monday, had my info taken down, and scheduled a service for the following day for a technician to arrive between noon and 4p. Great! Appx 4hrs later, I receive a call from this business advising me that I should have whoever installed the system come and maintain it as any services provided could void my warranty. I explained that I bought my home with the system already installed and that I already had 2 services provided by a different company and that I was willing to pay for the maintenance. I was then told that they were booked up until April and that there was a misunderstanding with the person who I made the appointment through earlier who was on the mainland. I'm not buying the excuse and am writing this as a warning to prospective customers that this business seems shady with their practices.

  Our service tech was Mana. He was so punctual that he actually reached out to confirm if we were available even BEFORE our service time window! So we didn’t have to sit around all day wondering when someone would come unlike other places! This guy is very knowledgeable; super humble and very comfortable to work with. I am a woman and often scared to have a male at my home, BUT Mana is so trustworthy, clear at communicating, thoughtful, confident, super knowledgeable and personable, I felt very safe! And Mana is very smart but never mansplains, never talks down and never bulldozed me- thank you Mana! This company is LUCKY to have him! Also, even though we got an introductory offer through Home Depot for only $29, Mana fully performed his job at a $300+ service level! This guy REALLY made his company look good!!! They are beyond lucky to have him and we will be return customers as well as referring people to him at his company for future business!
